Just caught a segment on Fox Sports News in which they interviewed Dennis today at his 40th birthday party. He said that Jordan has "already given him the call" and to be ready for next season. It appears MJ, Chuck, and now Rodman are all on board. Who's next, Magic? [IMG] If the Wizards don't compete for a title next year, they will at least set about every television record in the book.

I bet those people who were blasting Rick Reilly are feeling pretty foolish.

Rodman is a big drunk and 24hr partier. I have no idea how he keeps in shape and rebounds so well. He was a big drunk and 24hr partier when he played too, so the transition would be nothing new. Anyone ever check out his RodTV? This guy is like Barkley uncivilized to the max. How in the world did he hook up with Carmen Electra?

That lifestyle finally caught up with (and passed) him during his Lakers stint.

You all remember him refusing to return to games after sitting on the bench, right? Well, at the time, an LA Times reporter realized that this would always happen on Friday home games ... and Rodman would always be late to or miss practice on Saturday.

So he followed Rodman after a Friday game, finding (big surprise!) that he spent the entire night partying ... and apparently didn't want to play 4th quarters because that would leave him too tired to party.

Let's see, if Jordan can convince all the old timers(at least those that have a chance of getting into game shape & not dropping dead on the court) & sprinkle in some young pups to join him in Washington, he'd have a pretty good team. He could have a team something like this:

    C: Dream(I hope not)/Ewing
    PF: Webber/Barkley/Rodman
    SF: Bird/Richard Hamilton
    SG: Jordan/Alexander
    PG: Magic/Isaiah

Most of them might be old, but they'd have to be considered favorites to win it all. hmmmm...

    Larry Bird?

Heh heh.. yeah right. Why not recruit Kareem Abdul-Jabbar while you're at it.

Did anyone ever think that Barkly is just helping his Buddy Jordan blow smoke and SELL NEXT YEARS SEASON TICKETS to a horrible team that Jordan is part owner of?

Also, Rodman has lied about teams wanting him before. IMHO, he is just seeking attention again.

    Rodman arrives in helicopter

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Associated Press

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. -- Turning 40 isn't about to quiet Dennis Rodman.

Police shut down a birthday bash at the former NBA star's house over the weekend for what police said was an illegal helicopter landing and a live concert by two rock bands.

The party started about 2:30 p.m. Saturday when Rodman, who played college basketball at Southeastern Oklahoma, made a dramatic entrance in a helicopter that circled his house several times before landing on the beach, police spokesman Mike McDermott said.

About 300 people came to celebrate Rodman's 40th birthday, with most of the guests spilling onto the public beach outside his home.

By late afternoon about 30 police officers -- some in riot gear -- had gathered nearby as Rodman's lawyers negotiated with the district attorney's office and Rodman argued with police.

McDermott said Rodman eventually agreed to move the celebration to his nearby restaurant. No arrests were made.

A rock concert on his patio prompted about 50 complaints from irate neighbors, police said. It was the latest in a series of confrontations with neighbors and police since Rodman moved into the beachfront home several years ago.

Previous Rodman gatherings have resulted in more than 70 police visits and more than $3,000 in fines for violating local noise ordinances, according to city records.
