that's because Les Alexander never branded the Rockets as Houston's team. Once Dream left and Yao came, it was 95% about China and 5% about Houston. It's going to be tough for Tilman to reverse all of this. Compared to other teams, our owners have been cheaper and poorer. Look, Jeff Bezos made more in one day than Les Alexander and Tilman made in their entire life. The Astros and Texans do not have a local identity crisis with their fans.
