Full Court Press?

At the end of the first half against Denver last night we were down by eight and the Nugz had the ball under our basket with about 10 seconds left.

Why didn't we full court press? Instead we let them get the ball easily past midcourt and ended up giving them an apparently easy two. We have fast enough guards (except MJ) to do it and I would really like to know why we never do.

Also... When we got the ball back with only a few ticks remaining why didn't we (then or ever) call a time out and move the ball to halfcourt?

    Or am I just ranting?

The full court press leaves us too vulnerable to fast break points, and the Nuggets are the best fastbreaking team in the league. Our rotation is too short and our backups too old and slow to regularely press full court anyway. JVG's more interested in just getting the defense set up.

Okay. Maybe I misstated what I wanted. I don't want the whole team in the backcourt but I would like to see at least full court defense in limited time situations (ie. two of their guards in the back court/two of our guards on them).
Besides, don't fast break points come off rebounds?
