no problem. btw, I don't get your sig: girl you looks good won't you mock that draft up?! I assume this is a take off of another phrase, so what's the real phrase? ------------------ It's Clutch's City and we're all just living in it...
A rap song by Juvenile. "Girl you look good, won't you back that thing up..." ... Dr of Dunk... the original gangsta geek ------------------ "Now it is more clear that it doesn't make sense." -- HeyPeeism at its convoluted best.
We need to keep this as simple as possible. Our team last year was pretty dang good for our age. We can get better through the draft and signing a big man (dream). This whole salary cap, sign and trade, three-way, two joe thing is giving me the runs. 1. Rockets Draft 3 good first rounders. 2. Bullard, SA, Cato bye bye 3. Rockets take $$$ and sign FA. Dream and MoT. 4. Webber is an after-thought now. We can stop taking the shaft on this and decide our own fate. What is a chicago pen? ------------------ Go Rockets!!! SS
'chicago pin' is the dumb terminology we came up w/ for the terms of the Bryce Drew trade. Basically the Bulls can't trade their draft picks (during the regular season) until they're mathematically eliminated from being able to achieve the terms that the Rockets placed on the picks... ------------------ When this guy started smoking 40 years ago, people had no idea it was bad for you. People had to guess based on the hacking cough, shortness of breath, and bloody phlegm girl you looks good won't you mock that draft up?!
oh yes, I love that. It's on the same album as the Air Bull song, right? ------------------ It's Clutch's City and we're all just living in it...
can you give us any hints about all of these rumors? I really can't handle reading Doc Rocket's riddles about 3some's with chicks that have to get checked for STD's and 2 Ken's getting married to a "femaile" poster in Europe etc etc. If you could maybe drop any kind of hint about what the Doc's talking about it would be more than appreciated. Are his hints mainly draft related or are we talking about roster shakeups as well? Is this "dancing in the streets" material or just minor draft pick management type of stuff? You don't have to say anything if you don't want to, and after the whole midseason commotion fell through I can understand why you wouldn't say anything. I'm just following the Doc's orders and putting some of the heat on you. ------------------ Beauty, was the allure that brought me close to you, Loneliness, was the bond that made me stick like glue, All fantastic images, they only are apparent, Promoted by desperate hope, That things are somewhere better. Or, if you don't feel secure releasing any information, could you name a poster or two whose ideas in that thread or others were reasonably close to some of the things Doc was suggesting? ------------------ "Basketball players win basketball games. Oielpere, feel free to clear up any of this as well, if you are at liberty to do so. ------------------ CC.NET Sim League Web Page My Team (Sonics) Runnin', Ravin', Endin', Out.
Or, you could shame the devil & tell the truth. If we don't start getting some decipherible hints, you might have to change the name of the site from "Clutch City" to "Clutch's Looney Bin", because we're all going to lose our minds trying to figure Doc's message out. ------------------
HP, I was making an argument on a s/t of Hakeem. I missed the part about me saying they would do this on draft day. If I implied it would occur on Dday by responding to a thread with a DDAy trade, I'm sorry since that will drive a man wild. I assume DDay trades are trades agreed on at the draft but occur on Aug 1st. is treated like one, single That word "like", in my experience, means "similar to a, but not a". One important synonym according to Word is "analagous". That qoute says the contract is signed before the trade with a clause to nullify it if the trade doesn't go down. This is evidence that they are separate transactions, but dependent. I haven't seen any proof of it being one transaction. All it says is that a sign and trade isn't two transactions where "one party can change its mind". To me, this implies that its two seperate, but dependent transactions. This two separate, dependent transactions can be "treated like a single, atomic transaction, not two separate transactions between which one party can change its mind".
