Because there is no better way to diffuse a racist situation than by making it ALL ABOUT RACE. . Let's just pretend there is only ONE acceptable race at this point. That should fix everything
Why did mark Jackson and kidd get hired over white guys with experience? The bias is towards point guards....not race
The league is 90% black and yet black coaches are the minority? There have also been tons of well qualified black coaches waiting for opportunities for years. The league is a good ol boys club just like the NFL. White coaches get more opportunities even when less qualified
What constitutes qualified? Sam Cassell has been assistant forever and hasent got a job. Jerry stackhouse did pretty well with his dleague team.
I don't care if he's white, black, brown, yellow or striped as long as he makes adjustments in the playoffs.
Doc Rivers got a head coaching job with no coaching experience. So did Jason Kidd, Derek Fisher, Mark Jackson, and many more. And you can mention Kevin McHale, but he has a much better coaching record than someone like Alvin Gentry, who has been absolutely terrible everywhere he’s coached yet keeps getting hired. So can it with your foolishness.
This reminds me of the thread complaining that TC was becoming too urban. This is BASKETBALL. Things like race and politics can sod off. Just enjoy the game.
Why can't we have half of the roster to be white players? Exactly! Apply that reasoning to coaches too.
How about spurs coach popo, he is good at defence and have champion experiences? If we can pay tax to get cousins to guard AD , we have a real big 3 without the need for trading away one MVP player.
