My bad. Forgot about that. I still don't think he's the guy to get us there, though.

We either need to bring in a proven high-level winner or roll the dice on a promising newcomer.

Exactly, JVG was never considered GOAT material either. People who wish for him now would turn their opinion around within half a season, guaranteed.

JVG hasn't coached an NBA team since 2007. And even when he 'returned' to coaching, it was for a FIBA tournament in which every player on the team was great.

Not to say he can't do it, but JVG has always thrived coaching teams with a legit 5 (Ewing, Yao). I don't know how much of his philosophy has now shifted towards today's NBA.

    I've been on board!

Give JVG somebody to run the offense - its mostly preordained 3s and layups anyway...
    Let JVG grind the defense...
I think JVG is the kinda guy that can hold players accountable and push them - without pissin em off...

Wrong, you think offense was bad now? Try to watch it under JVG.

Nope. No need to return to Mr. Van Gundy, unless it is the one named Stan. Anybody have the number of an actual champion like Rudy T?

Considering our inconsistent offense, I would rather believe defense. Those desperate long threes won't save us!
