Should JVG rest the starters for the last 3 games?

It doesn't seem to matter whether we are 7 or 8. The starters deserver some much needed rest. They all played heavy minutes and need some fresh legs to make some noise in the first round!

I agree their minutes should be reduced so they are not only fresh for the playoffs but also to avoid further injuries.

After knocking Utah out of the playoffs, which is on par with making the playoffs. How sweet that would be.

Well it doesn't look like it would happen according to JVG:

JVG can be an idiot some time. Yao obviously needs much needed rest. The dude has been playing basketball non-stop years in and years out!

Exactly what I was thinking Lancet. Yao and Steve shouldn't even suit up for the last three games. Plus, there's no way we get home court unless we meet the 8th seed at some point. I'm of the school that our "collapse" over the last 15 games is entirely due to fatigue.

We should absolutely rest JJ and let Boki start. JJ has logged so many minutes.

Boki has not played much, we need to evaluate him by starting him.

If we put the Jazz away early, I'm sure Yao will get some rest -- just like he did at the end of the game against the Clippers.

I agree with JVG that we shouldn't keep them out of the games entirely. But I wouldn't be surprised if he limits their minutes. I don't see Yao playing 40 minutes in each of the last three games or anything like that.

I wouldnt mind if they take the next two games lightly but they may want to consider playing Dallas at full strength. It's looking like the Rockets will play Sacramento and if they can beat Dallas again it should give them alot of confidence before heading to Sacramento b/c of their similar styles. Plus I just like beating Dallas :)

They need both rest and confidence, especially Yao. He needs to get both, otherwise we have no chance in playoff.

JVG should also get Paghett, spoon, Pike and boki ready for playoff minutes.

Oh, well I guess I should have said that it was an old quote. Although JVG's opinion probably hasn't changed much.

The Rockets are coming to Seattle on Monday, only the second time I've been able to see this team live. I'm going to be looking to scalp a good seat.

IF I HAVE TO SIT THROUGH YET ANOTHER LIVE GAME WITHOUT YAO AND FRANCIS, I'M GOING GOING TO TRACK DOWN VAN GUNDY AND BEAT THE LIVING SH*T OUT OF HIM!!!!!!

The Starters definitely need some rest. It's so obvious that Yao's legs are gone. He has just looked so lethargic as of late. Those turn around jumpers that are usually money havent been falling as of late. I know that the race for 1st is still up in the air, and the race for 8th also. No matter, where we end up, or who we play, I just hope that Gundy is smart enough to know that his players have been logging big minutes need to be fresh......WE'RE BACK IN THE PLAYOFFS BABY!

Well the next opponent of the Rockets is the Utah Jazz.

For many reasons, I don't like the Jazz. They remind me of Karl Malone and John Stockton. Even with the two gone, I still don't like Utah.

I want the Rockets to beat the Jazz and knock them out of the playoffs.

Then they can think of resting the starters.

But get win#45 and beat the Utah Jazz.

Sure, it must be done. Our starters are almost exhausted now.
I hope Boki and Pike will show us their energies. JVG gave them too little time. We need they devote to playoffs.

Best idea would be to limit Mobley, Francis, Yao and JJ's minutes to something like 28 minutes. Maybe 25 for Yao.

Sit Cato out for 2 games.

Everyone else should play full speed, give Boki, Pike and MJaxx extensive minutes to get physically ready for the playoffs.

Don't play them 40 mpg, the starters; but I'd rather play to win these games. We're gonna get bounced in the playoffs anyway.

Will the players have a high in these games, thanks to making the playoffs? Or will they coast?

Either way, I had a big grin on my face last night. What a game. And what a relief. Playoffs again!
