What are you talking about? He always turns up against Lebron. Check his stats.

Regardless, he was getting double-teamed for most of the game. The bench didn't do jack ****, whilst the Lakers bench stepped up. Our supporting cast just doesn't enough on the offense most games.

Why don't we double LeBron as often? Lakers shooters are known to be poor.

Oh I know. Because LeBron makes it difficult to have the ball denied to him because he finds other ways to get the ball besides hovering around the top of the three point line.

The problem is Westbrook, he played better good in the first half, then started doing the same things, over and over again, miss turn over miss, turn over, and then we just can't get the calls in the play off, they were like beating our players up down low, and we couldn't touch them, CRY Baby LeBron James

It isnt just the double team. If you noticed they didnt play mcgee in the 2nd half. No big to exploit made it a little more difficult. But also dont forget no house. Hes a guy that also puts the ball on floor and cuts to the basket.

This is the lakers last major adjustment. Lets go get this tied up next game.

Stats do not show when Harden is going up against Lebron. I watched all the games in this series and almost every time during Harden/Lebron matchup Harden is forced to shoot tough 3s which he misses or forced to pass. They did not even have to double-team Harden as quickly when Lebron was guarding.

No. We lost the game tonight because of the bench. Their bench scored 42 points to our 16.

You do realize that Harden scored an efficient 33 points tonight, right? He also created points for his team. So, his offense wasn't the problem tonight. He did all that whilst getting double-teamed for most of the game.... Lebron wasn't getting double-teamed.

You guys are funny. Not sure how you can put this on Harden tonight. He just had an efficient scoring night. He also had 9 assists. He also only had 2 turnovers.... he did all that whilst getting double-teamed. If you're looking to blame someone, blame the bench and the coach.

It's always Harden's fault when we lose..... even when he plays well.

Yes they did this in miami vs okc. This is how you shut down a team with Westbrick as a pg.

Small ball has been tried before it failed then will fail now. We really need an elbow jumper when they go into their 3pt covering zone D with Davis on the low block.

    Nah.

Harden got his double team and found the open man without turning it over. That’s where his job ends. Need role-players to step up and beat the 4 on 3...

    Harden is playing perfectly.

    Problems tonight were

    1. Defense

    2. Depth

Simple as that. We couldn't stop AD or LeBron at all, we gave up a bunch of easy shots to Rondo and Kuzma.

Our depth is abysmal, 8 man rotation tonight with 2 players who shouldn't see the court in Rivers and Mac. Gordon didn't produce and we were SOL.

A lot of trash fans here. It’s a 2-1 series. We didn’t play our game, only took 30 threes. This can still be a series, enough with you couch coaches. I ride with the rockets win or lose.

Sigh. It's not like the last 5 minutes didn't happen. Harden is great at carrying teams before defenses hone in and figure out a pattern to stop the Rockets. It's why we have such poor showings in the final minute of games because it's easy to deny our best offensive threat the ball because he doesn't want to get open in other ways.

Our offense is rally easy to hone in on by the 4th. This team is like the Bucks in that they need a a 10 pt lead or more in the 4th.

Vogel said after game 1, they'd do more cuts. And they did. Their role players also tried to drive to the hoop more. The guys that weren't successful Kuz, Caruso early... stopped. Rondo had success, so he had the green light. He barely played McGee and Dwight didn't play.

AD was getting fouls early; he got into rhythm; 1:1 wasn't cutting it. When it was apparent tic tac fouls are called, the Rockets resulted in double teaming. They messed up the switch defense; too many things for Rockets to worry about on D. They cut more and they hit their 3pt ers. We got some turn overs off of AD, but wasn't enough.

Yup, we really can’t afford to play so few players. It takes a ton of energy to play the amazing defense we are playing.

I’d have given DeMarre or Luc proper looks by now.

Kobe said it himself on the jump with TMac and Rachel. Easy to zero in on a player who always attacks from the top with all defenders facing him...

Rockets just make it too easy to guard them, all teams have to do is overplay the 3 point line and have one shotblocker at the rim. LeBron can also block shots from the weak side.

I'm sure half the people here thought this was going to be a 4-0 Rockets sweep. Yeah, we definitely had our chances in the last 2 games but it took a super-human game from LBJ (combined with pretty much a no show from out bench) to get the Lakers over the line in this one. There's a reason they were/are the #1 seed and are in the conf semi's. This was always going to be a battle. Having said that though, can their role players please regress to their standard/average please? G2 it was Morris knocking down 3's like layups and G3 it was Rondo's turn. Here's hoping G4 they go back to their usual averages...

Harden is doing pretty much all he can, he's scoring and taking what the D gives him. He is the best offensive force this year, but he is not going to consistently score on double teams. His job when he is doubled is to make the right play (which is a pass) and rely on his teammates to either take the open shot or make the extra pass to the open man.

Game 4 is a must win though. Can't afford to get down 3-1 and expect to win 3 in a row.

    Nah.

Beard created our final 13 points in game 7 vs OKC when they were honed in. We will take open shots off of double teams all day long.

The difference with Hakeem was that our role players stepped up and made them pay.

Harden’s job is done. Realistically, only so many times he can drive around double teams in one game.
