I believe in Russ, but if he is not fully recovered from his injury or from Covid-19 (it can affect O2 sats), then I rather him sit rather than hurt his team.

Westbrook's performance in the bubble vs. Pre-pandemic is day and night. What happened to the mad dashed to the rim after getting a rebound? Something is affecting his play that we are not privy. Those who say he has no BB skills are just ignorant. You don't go from a triple-double machine to a scrub without reasons.

Whatever it is, I'm going to light a candle and sacrifice some chickens.

Just bought a Westbrook jersey today (40% off on Rocketsshop.com today, btw). I am doubling down and willing him to be great, no matter how bad he was yesterday. As D’antoni said, without him we aren’t winning a championship. We are all in with him and need him to be his best self again to have a chance. Let’s go!!!

This was the series I believed he would wreak havoc....Just put the 1st 2 games outta your memory... A best out of 5 series suits his style of play better...

Russ is at his best when he doesn't try to bulldog and force things.

Chucking is not his game, and driving into the lane like a bull against a sea of defenders isn't either.

He's a good passer and a reason he average 10+ assists per game in OKC - he needs to become more of a pass-first mentality. If he is open he can drive for a 10 footer or pass to an open teammate as the defense rotates. He has to realize if they are collapsing in the paint not to drive in there.

At least he hasn't lost perspective and knows he's playing bad. I think he'll turn it around and go back to attacking the rim and being more decisive instead of hesitating in the half court offense. That's on Harden too, that lazy dribble bringing the ball up when the rest of the team is running. The team as a whole needs to push the ball more and increase the tempo for extended period of times throughout the game and that will help get Russ going in and of it self.

As much as I hate his game most of the time, I am a believer.

Russ hasn't been right since he came back from Covid. He has been fumbling the ball consistently and taking ill advised shots.

I expected such games from Russ when we traded for him. We just can’t afford more than one a series.

Westbrook is kind of like a pitcher
    He plays every other game
    So . .. hopefully every series he has a good game 1 , 3, 5, 7

As a long time Rockets fan, my guess is Russ will come back strong and power us thru the series and get our hopes up. Then he makes a boneheaded play in the final minutes of Game 7 that costs us the season. Another heartbreaking exit for the Rockets....

I sincerely hope I am wrong

He did it game 1. Faster stronger... dunks instead of layups. Play off ball a bit and catch alley oops if his legs can allow.

    I believe.

    Rebounds.
    Pace of Play.
    Keeps Harden Aggressive.
    And can score 30.

He's the key to the whole thing. Over 80 games. He proved it.
