So I hate to beat a dead horse, but it's again a serious problem. McLemore and Rivers were giving us nothing, though Mac didn't even get one decent look at the basket so that's on our coaches and guards as well, but they played 7 minutes each. That's basically only House & Green giving us solid bench minutes with our legs dead tired at the end and Green being god awful, he literally gave us 0. MDA has to show some faith in Frazier and another forward in Carrol or Luc. He has to.

While we can still win games, it's no miracle to see where this game was lost just by looking at that 4th quarter and the boxscore. This style of play requires fresh legs, fresh bodies and thus an expanded rotation. You simply cannot ask of your team to make all these threes and play defense with the most possible effort and then really only trust an old ass Green and one young buck in House. Sure, Rivers will play more next few games, but that's still only doing so much.

    Thoughts?

Rivers was -18 in 7 minutes and you want him to play MORE?

Historically…did mda stick to a 8/7-man rotation in Phoenix?
If not, why did he do this experiment in h-town

    Nash
    Amar'e Stoudemire
    Shawn marion
    Joe Johnson
    Diaw

    Leandro Babosa
    Quentine Richardson
    Bo Outlaw
    Jim Jackson

Every year. Like clockwork. :D Keep banging your head against the wall hoping Mike will change. (Hint: he won't)

I kept telling people that Mike does this ****, but for whatever reason individuals wanted to argue back like it isn't a thing with him.

i'm disappointed that Benny Mac cant get any burn. He is the best open 3 point shooter on the team and he should be getting PT to keep the stroke true. Tossing him in there cold after a few DNP's isnt the best use of a player like that IMO. Yes I know his defense isnt top tier, but we need not only the end result of 3 point shots, but the morale boost of actually making WIDE OPEN shots. Its a boost for everyone.

I doubt anything changes, MDA is as stubborn as they come, and wouldnt do anything outside the box until an elimination game in self preservation mode.

    "It is what it is"

Play defense and hope that Russ can play under control is where we're at.

Yes...I'm so tired of it. I'm used to Coaches who fix adjustments in game, instead of letting things work themselves out.

Today lose to Lakers is due to westbrooks low performance. He keeps missing. Harden should be the main ball holder in 4th quarter

I don’t know if gambling on luc or DeMarre at this point is the right call . Depends on how they look in practice (if we practice)

I’d rather keep trying rivers and maclemore . One of them is bound to have a good game soon .

I’ve knocked MDA in the past , but as long as he keeps trying guys I’m ok . When he goes strict 7 is when I have a problem

Coach needs to roll the dice with rivers. He's our second best ball handler and we need that and his defense against a press defense. We have to gamble that his shot will be there. this is what we get for the minimum

I still think bmac should play more, the lakers are playing lineups where he won’t be abused. We can get good minutes out of him if they don’t abuse him on defense.

Ow man, never saw this before. That's pretty telling. I'm so ready to move on from D'Antoni. He says his biggest mistake is not pushing his strategy to the extreme, I'd say it's actually never understanding his strategy is very taxing and thus he should've gone more extreme with his bench. Go ****ing 9-10 deep! He actually said this year he might do it given the amount of talent on the bench, after getting Green, Carroll and RoCo. Now he's gone the other way. It's totally unacceptable what he has done to McLemore. ****ing piece of **** coach.

Steve Nash has mentioned a few times recently about how tired he always was in those Phoenix playoff runs

Well that's it then isn't it. The man is digging his own grave and it's kind of sad to see...I like the man, he seems like a funny and truly good dude. I wonder how he'd react to people bringing this stuff up, but journalists these days don't dare to go there. True growth is setting aside your ego and learn from past mistakes. When former players actually let you know you ran them into the ground and it factored into losing, then why would you just continue on stubbornly?! It really is beyond me. I know at this point it's difficult, but get McLemore some shots to get his grove back and throw Carroll / Frazier into the mix and see what they do. Take some risks is all I'm asking at this point as I know the man won't change. Man could've won multiple titels if he weren't so dead set on short rotations. What a fool.

I’d like to see McLemore get more minutes. He’s been shut out of the rotation in the playoffs and one can’t expect him to hit his one and only shot when he hasn’t been playing.

The tired legs thing never had to happen. It wasn’t a matter of our players being tired from too many minutes. It was a matter of playing terribly on both ends of the court until we had a 20 point deficit to overcome. By the time we made our come back of course we were worn out.

That’s not about who’s on the floor. That probably would have happened no matter who was out there.

"It's alright. They're basketball players. They can run around for 40 minutes."
