Clutchfans Game Thread: Rockets @ Lakers 9/4/2020 (Playoffs Round 2, Game 1)

I’ve always thoroughly enjoyed our past postseason matchup’s against the Lakers

 

Seriously though. Any chance we expand our rotation to 9?

 

im just glad punk ass GSW has officially been disbanded with KD gone

 

9 is the longest it will stretch watch.

 

Both of our super stars are from LA; visiting home with bragging rights would be next level for them. Their lives would change.

 

I was looking at his numbers. Rivers had 8 assists, 3 tov, 9/38 shooting but +10 overall. That dude always defends so he still gets it done even if it doesn’t look that way.

 

Can Ben Mac play against the Lakers?

 

MDA already said hes expanding the rotation this series. Im sure that will include one of our top shooters.

 

Thanks I missed him saying that. Bmac is too good a shooter not to get minutes.

 

Rockets just beat a very good and tough OKC team with their vaunted 3 guard lineup. There are no more GSW to deal with anymore.

Why the lack of confidence? Harden is the best offensive player ever in his prime and no slouch on defense either. He’s matured after numerous real battle tests in his career.

Harden also has a very good supporting cast to go all the way this year. If the Rockets don’t win the ring it’ll likely be because they beat themselves.

I expect the Rockets to prevail against LA (both of them).

 

Forgot how stupid and delusional Laker fans are.

 

Yeah but I still have to see Draymonds ugly ass on Inside The NBA.

 

I feel alot better about our chances after watching this.

Rockets will not have the matchup limitations like we did vs. OKC.

 

I would be happy if Austin Rivers just showed up.

Not worried, I knew we were gonna have trouble with OKC because we have the tendency to play down to the competition.
Notice we kept on losing to mediocre and bad teams and win against top teams during season.
We won't take Lakers lightly like we did versus OKC, the best version of the Rockets will show up versus the Lakers.

 

This series is even more than just the Rockets and Lakers,

its small ball vs Tall Ball.

If it occurred that we slaughtered their butts. Really handed it to them. Think there might suddenly be small ball lineups popping up everywhere? Could change the NBA landscape for years to come. On the other hand, if the opposite happens, will it condemn small ball to oblivion?
