So the Rockets are going to sign the Crypt Keeper? ------------------ Ceo of the Walt Williams and Lisa Malosky fan club. My Mockumentary atheistalliance.org
Damn, I work with someone who looks just like that!!! ------------------ Rarely is the question asked: Guns kill squirrels than REDRUM to fools across the nation?
He's messing with all of you. This is just like that Twilight zone where the aliens flicker the street lights and then all the people on the street end up killing each other because they thought everyone else was an alien. The aliens didn't even have to do a thing to take over the world. They just flickered a few lights. Your imaginations are running away from you people. ------------------ humble, but hungry.
First, I wanted to say that this is by far the best web site for any sports team, period. I've been visting it for the past two years but this is my first time to post. By the way, what ever happened to Popeye? Anyway, I had one idea about Doc Rocket's post that no one had mentioned yet. This could refer to Webber and Mo Taylor. If what every analyst out there is saying is true, and CWebb isn't coming here, maybe the Rockets keep hyping him so no one knows how much we really want Taylor back. With all the other moves that seem to be in the works, maybe Mo is the best choice. Look at what the Mariners did in baseball. Spread out the money to more players instead of hiring one big gun. Just a thought. ------------------
I think the speculation about Orlando must have some merit. It would be out of character for this organization to sit around and twiddle thumbs while Detroit and Orlando made deals on the #18. If the Rockets really wanted it for the Grizz pick they would have greased the skids to make sure the deal went down. This leads me to believe there is something out there that the Rockets braintrust values more than the #6.
Here is a stupid one for ya: 42: Webber wears number 4 He use to wear number 2 in Golden State Just joining in on the weird speculation ------------------ A Chuck paraphrase: It was surreal! And I don't even know what that means! Charles after Eddie hit THE SHOT
Okay, now it's my turn... First of all I want to say that I don't have a problem with ROCKETGUY or his site at all. Rumors and misrepresentation of facts is what keeps the pot stirring. For example, if I said I was engaged in a little trois-action with two beautiful women, well, all you can say is wow!! I would've never guessed you do something sao freaky. ( Of course, I'd have to make sure that the girls are both healthy and disease free. Don't want to take that kind of risk!) -The whole thing about the threesome with two hotties is clearly a 3some with Sacto and Orlando involving CWebb and Hill. Apparently Hill may be coming to Houston instead of Webber who will go to Orlando. If I say to someone, 'I'm so glad you want to be here, I'd miss you' well, that could be a misrepresentaion I guess. -As stated before, Shandon may want to stay, but the Rockets are not interested in his asking price...Same could apply for Dream. Or, if I said, 'I'm tired of playing 42, let's play pick 'em instead' well, that could be a fact even if you didn't want to play 42 either! But it doesn't matter, everyone loves to play 42 even though the dealer wants to play another game! -Maybe the Bulls are tired of playing Brand, #42 and want to trade him for picks. Possibly this is the three way between Detroit and Chicago- swap of Brand and Stackhouse (Detroit didn't want to play #42 either), which results in us ending up with some high draft picks (pick em???) Or, let's see, what if I said, 'If you want to succeed in life, if you want to move up the ladder, you've got to do the little things. You've got to make things happen, you've got to pick your battles', that could be a fact or just advice. -Moving up the ladder= move up in draft, and pick Battier. Fact or just advice= Rockets want to move up, but may not be able to. You see, it's all up in the air! A trois equipes is staring at us, we all want to move up the corporate ladder, we love having people come over and we love it when our friends stay to meet them, even though our BEST friend is not there. -"Equipes" is French for "teams." We are faced with possibility of moving up in the draft, or involved with a three-way deal. BEST friend may imply that Olajuwon (our best friend)or Mobley (Steve's best friend) may be going. By the way, here's a piece of advice, if you're a teacher and you have a talented child that you can see is talented, always compliment the other kids so no one knows HOW talented this kid is. Then when you pick the class leader, everyone will say 'WOW, what a good idea!!' See? It's all about doing the right thing. It's about ethics - like they have in Europe, for instance. We could use some of their customs over here during trying times! -Okay so don't tell anybody about Radmanovic, the 2nd coming of Mirsad Turkcan, whom the Rockets plan to take with the #18 pick. Maybe this will help ------------------ "Oh No..." -Bill Walton in 97 just before Stockton's buzzer beater
'I'm tired of playing 42, let's play pick 'em instead' well, that could be a fact even if you didn't want to play 42 either! But it doesn't matter, everyone loves to play 42 even though the dealer wants to play another game!' Detroit is desperate to dump Stackhouse (#42); we have sought Elton Brand (#42) before, and recently; Walt (#42) makes good trade bait for the zone NBA. Could two or more of these 42's be changing teams? The "healthy, disease-free" thing? Maybe it just means they have to pass their physicals. Makes sense. "I'm glad you wanna be here." Could mean, "Hey, that's great you wanna be here, Mo/Walt." Our BEST friend is not here to greet whomever: methinks Hakeem won't be here. Moving up the "corporate ladder?" Do we want the #4 pick or do we want to move up in the West by getting a real power forward like Brand? If we're here to meet someone, would we be meeting someone already in the league, or a draft pick? The European thing: part of the smoke-screen Doc Rocket mentions: hype the wrong player, draft someone like Morris who does all the little things. Houston has to offer: Walt, Cato, #13, #18, maybe KT, Detroit and Chicago draft obligations, but not the #23 (that's for Morris). Chicago can offer: #4, Brand, maybe Mercer, maybe Artest. Detroit can offer: Brickhouse; maybe #9. Detroit and Chicago can relieve themselves of debts to us, we can get Brand, give Chicago a star player (we sure won't take Stackhouse: he hates our players, not that I give a $%#@ about him), we can dump Cato (pairing him with Fizer and Floyd, i.e. Iowa State). We can possibly get the #4 pick. But Brand is a much better target. Detroit and Chicago would be primed to make other trades if necessary, but would improve in any case. ------------------
I want to play. He speaks of a 3-way with 2 beauties. We're all assuming, of course 1 of them is Webber. Many are assuming the other is Hill. But remember, The Rocket Guy also talked a lot about Jayson Williams, and everyone told him he was mistaken. Seems to me that the person TRG was on about and Doc Rocket is referring to is Jayson Williams ... who may or may not pass a physical. Another clear one we see is 42 for picks. I dunno if that means we lose our 42 for picks or if we lose picks for a 42. Doc Rocket speaks of moving up the ladder by doing the little things. Then he says to pick your battles. I think the advice part is who to use the pick on (Doc Rocket is guessing Battier). But what I get here is we're gonna do some "little things" to get a high draft pick which may or may not be used for Battier. He talks about the "obvious" while putting the word "BEST" (Travis?) in all caps. Nothing seems more obvious to me than that. But of course he also mentions a "Child" (named Chris?) so you never know. Finally, Doc Rocket talks about complimenting players just as a front, and then in the same section he compliments Europe. I take it we don't want any players from Europe. That's all I have. How am I doing? ------------------ Founding Father of the Refs Suck Club
It is, let's play Hungry-Hungry-Hippos. ------------------ Ceo of the Walt Williams and Lisa Malosky fan club. My Mockumentary atheistalliance.org [This message has been edited by DEANBCURTIS (edited June 11, 2001).]
I think we should play Twister, because that's what this thread has done to my mind. ------------------
Rumors and misrepresentation of facts is what keeps the pot stirring. * Means simply that CD and Rudy are feeding misinformation because that's what they always to! For example, if I said I was engaged in a little trois-action with two beautiful women, well, all you can say is wow!! I would've never guessed you do something sao freaky. ( Of course, I'd have to make sure that the girls are both healthy and disease free. Don't want to take that kind of risk! ) * We have two trade partners with injured players they want to trade (Hill), and / or the franchises themselves are diseased (Clips or Krause and da'Bulls). If I say to someone, 'I'm so glad you want to be here, I'd miss you' well, that could be a misrepresentaion I guess. * Statement about Dream and Rudy's desire to see him just retire, and never to play for someone else. Or, if I said, 'I'm tired of playing 42, let's play pick 'em instead' well, that could be a fact even if you didn't want to play 42 either! But it doesn't matter, everyone loves to play 42 even though the dealer wants to play another game! Certainly about Walt, but really just about creating more interest in him for a trade than currently exists with our two partners. Pick-em means shooting for SF in the draft. Or, let's see, what if I said, 'If you want to succeed in life, if you want to move up the ladder, you've got to do the little things. You've got to make things happen, you've got to pick your battles', that could be a fact or just advice. * Little things probably means working out a deal with the two 2nd rounders with Chi-town and probably renouncing right, etc. Possibly refers to a S&T for Shandon... You see, it's all up in the air! A trois equipes is staring at us, we all want to move up the corporate ladder, we love having people come over and we love it when our friends stay to meet them, even though our BEST friend is not there. * "Air" means waiting for Hakeem to decide if he wants to take less money to go with Michael and the Wiz. Both our trade partners also want to move up in the draft! We have seen some prospects work out that we intend to sign (Radman..)but Hakeem wasn't here to see him/them. By the way, here's a piece of advice, if you're a teacher and you have a talented child that you can see is talented, always compliment the other kids so no one knows HOW talented this kid is. Reference to Mo-Tay, and his eventual resigning. Mo knows the Roc's are after big fish and wants to be part of it, but the Roc's are trying to drive down his demands by playing up Webber, others. Then when you pick the class leader, everyone will say 'WOW, what a good idea!!' See? It's all about doing the right thing. It's about ethics - like they have in Europe, for instance. We could use some of their customs over here during trying times! Reference to "Radman" again. Basically, the enthusiasm ROCKETGUY has for the team is obvious! And you know me, I have this 'thing' for the obvious! It's my job. Everyone should have a trade! Don't overlook the obvious. We are not supposed to read too much into this "cryptic' message!!! ------------------ Our purpose in life is to find our gift, and the meaning of life is to give it away!
My take on this is: 1.For example, if I said I was engaged in a little trois-action with two beautiful women, well, all you can say is wow!! I would've never guessed you do something sao freaky. ( Of course, I'd have to make sure that the girls are both healthy and disease free. Don't want to take that kind of risk! ) If I say to someone, 'I'm so glad you want to be here, I'd miss you' well, that could be a misrepresentaion I guess. Assuming there arent any typos, the "sao freaky" could be a reference to Shandon Anderson, hence the SAo. This might also explain the "I am so glad you want to be here, I'd miss you". 2. Or, if I said, 'I'm tired of playing 42, let's play pick 'em instead' well, that could be a fact even if you didn't want to play 42 either! But it doesn't matter, everyone loves to play 42 even though the dealer wants to play another game! I have to agree with everyone(prayerfully) that this is a reference to Walt. Maybe the pick'em means we will be looking to draft a sf and Walt is on his way out. 3. Or, let's see, what if I said, 'If you want to succeed in life, if you want to move up the ladder, you've got to do the little things. You've got to make things happen, you've got to pick your battles', that could be a fact or just advice. The battles word is key here. It appears to be an obvious reference to moving up in the draft, but unless its a typo, I havent figured out what its a reference to. 4. a 3 team trade still is up in the air, and we are looking to draft someone that is very talented, possibly from Europe. So, maybe Shandon is gone, we loose Hakeem, we draft a SF, possibly Morris, and a talented European. Hopefully in the 3 team trade, we loose Walt and Cato.....addition by subtraction....and maybe gain another key member to the team. ------------------ A wise man smells profit in the wind.
suddenly it's all cloak and dagger stuff! or is it more smoke and mirrors? i mean i remember when all the mega-trades the Rocks have done in the past e.g. Barkley, Drexler and Mike's hand maiden, there wasn't as much "decoding" necessary to understand what was going on. Now it's like sifting through waffle and hidden meanings...it must be the new millenium. Or is there a secret police roaming around. Clutch and Jeff's internal affairs department. ------------------ "The man who goes alone can start today; but he who travels with another must wait till the other is ready." -HDT
I might be unsure about the possibilities, but one thing is clear to me that imho, this offseason is the most important in Rockets history. ------------------ Rarely is the question asked: Guns kill squirrels than REDRUM to fools across the nation?
