Shooting like ass all game with the open corner threes. Harden stunk on offense, but still finds the open man.

Missed the three before, so PJ STEPS IN TO MAKE AN OPEN MIDRANGE SHOT and gets the Rocket lead back!

    Self Awareness Hallelujah!!

I'll take that made 2pts during a tight 4th quarter more than his 1 in 7 chance of making a three any day.

But was that a no no for the Rockets?

That's actually one of the two things Tucker can do on offense, I see him do that a lot actually in desperate situations.

Definitely a floater but nonetheless. I have ragged on PJs offense the past two years. Completely one dimensional and the worst player near the basket.
One shot by that one shot Shut me up so good!

Whatever it’s called it’s a freaking miracle it went in.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen him make a shot other than a corner three lol. You know if it’s a layup he’s likely missing it.

I remember him making that floater a fair amount in the 17-18 Playoff run against the Jazz and Warriors.

All i asked for... tight game? Take best makeable shot, not the best statistical one over stretch of 82g! Its way easier to make midrange shot than 3, for pro player its waaaaaaaaaay easier. Open mid for pro player is basicaly cash in

It's so ironic that we won on that type of shot and it shows you cannot rely on threes in crunch time. **** analytics, use common sense and thank you PJ for using it!

lol its pathethic that so called analytics frowns upon that shot... its a fake analytics...these people give analytics a bad name...analytics is a beautiful thing but the way some people are interpreting, my goodness... its like following the letter of the law instead of spirit....

I get where you're coming from, but Harden has been shooting floaters for years...soooooo...

    Rockets analytics department

It was glad to see, we needed all the buckets we can get. At Clutch time, sometimes a sure thing is better.

I agree, there's a huge disconnect between what people think 'analytics' means and what it actually is. I mostly blame the announcers because they are the most egregious with spouting their nonsense about it and they do it so confidently. They have everyone fooled into thinking analytics don't like that shot. Analytics actually show that 2>3 to close games, and it will probably surprise you to know that Morey has said this publicly before. Look at the way CP3 closed games for us.

That probably makes you wonder why the rockets close games the way they do, and I wonder the same thing. Maybe it's Harden, maybe MDA, maybe both? But I can assure you it's not the spreadsheets.
