Its amazing the deception they go through for such low stakes.

 

Because they know that it works for their base. People like @B@ffled will just eat up without doing any fact checking of their own. In contrast to stories that challenge their world view, where they will dispute automatically without basis.

 

But those people are going to vote for him no matter what.

Regardless of him being unfaithful, not a man of god, his possible crimes, his incompetence... none of it matters.

Why they go through such lengths to open themselves up for ridicule is the real question. Trump's team has shown the continued ability to make unforced errors when they try to be proactive. You would think somebody in an advisory capacity would tell them they'd be better off not doing anything... rather than risk making mistakes... but I guess if they had those sort of advisors, he wouldn't be in this predicament to begin with.

 

Why try to tear down someone that just loves America and what she stands for.
