We can get into this and perspective if you really want to but I don't know if the owner of this forum wasn't this to turn into a politic thing, sadly clutchfans seems to becoming a political venue when it used to not be. Even if he had a knife and even if he was a criminal. Explain why they had to shoot him 7 times point blank in the back. How can you not see that as excessive. Dude got shot 7 times. Then to top it all off the white guy with an assault rifle that shoots 3 people during the protests doesn’t even get arrested by the cops as he walks right past them with his hands up.. And he killed 2 of those people... If you don’t see the double standard I don’t know what to tell you man.
Situations are completely different. Blake had already resisted arrest at that point and presented himself as a threat. Rittenhouse it appeared was defending himself. Saying that, the cops clearly had no idea he was the shooter as their were several armed militia at the riot/protest. Blake also presented himself as a non threat with the way he was handling his rifle. Completely different events. It’s not apples to apples. Saying there is a double standard here is 100% reaching.
There are people yelling at the cops as he walks by identifying Rittenhouse as the shooter. But I guess since they were Black people their opinion must not have mattered. Also to say he was defending himself is not true. Watch interview of him before the shooting. He thinks he’s above the law is a vigilante. He had the intent to use his weapon and really wanted to. So it is okay for them to shoot a guy 7 times in the back? Aren’t they taught to arrest people first? Shooting someone that many times in that close range is trying to kill someone... Watching the video it doesn’t even look like he resisted arrest. They casually just let him stroll around his car before shooting him. He didn’t seem like he was posing any threat. Why didn’t they stop him before he opened the door? They outnumbered him 3 - 1 and they needed to shoot him 7 times for what crime? Multiple conflicting reports say he wasn’t even the one causing the disturbance and he was actually the peacemaker. The police are throwing shade on the situation by saying he had a warrant out for his arrest stemming from a separate incident that happened months before. And the worst part is his kids were in the car......
