If we lose Game 7, harden will cement his legacy as the “Melo” of this era

Harden year after year, one of the most unluckiest players I have ever seen. Comes close, has the best stats. But Fertitta like Dolan will end up killing his late career not getting help. But after this year think about it? We lose in first round thats rock bottom for us as a team? That’s the end you have to think. Right? Harden now and for the end of his star days is nothing more than a Carmelo Anthony and game 7 will only show that.

If we lose game 7 it’s the final nail in James Harden legacy. Even if he drops a 40 point triple double he has to win the game. This is the biggest game of his career

harden is several tiers higher than the player melo was. i hate that comparison. harden is closer to the best rockets player ever than to a player like melo

    the advanced stats hated melo

The pressure is all on Houston. Three close games and they couldn't close a single one. It's going to be a problem if the next game is close.

I'm disappointed as a fan right now, kind of ****s up the next couple of days but I'll be there watching Wednesday. Watching Donovan and Jamal go off tomorrow will just make me feel horrible, so unfortunately I'll be missing a likely good game 7.

Melo didn't do anything in the playoffs (not even in the East, haha)... In the West it was One WCFs visit, right (w/ the Nuggets)? If you put prime Melo in Harden's shoes in any of these games in the west or playoff teams that Harden has faced you'd be lucky to have gotten out of the 1st round on any of these years or hell even make the playoffs. Melo was good but let's not get silly here.

At some point in near future he should just go ring chasing.

    No he is not.

Hakeem was a defensive beast and offensively he was very good and was clutch

Melo is a totally different player, he is a midrange guy.

Harden best Rockets player ever when we haven't been able to get to the finals with him + Dwight. Him + CP3. And now him + WB?

    Lmao.

Melo is Chris Bosh while Harden is Charles Barkley.

    Melo is Pre Heat Bosh.

Barkley plays better in the 4th but in relation to their talent level. (Or Karl Malone)

Harden isn't by any means a bad postseason player. But in the regular season he's the best player in the world, and in the playoffs he's less than that.

It's been a consistent trend that despite his greatness, when we really need him to win us important games late it just isn't there. If it happens yet again in this series I will pretty much be in the camp that Harden will never lead a team to a title and will need to be Robin if he's winning a chip.

I'm not saying he has to win a title this season, but we have no business losing to this team.

Agree, bad comparison. Melo was the product of a lot of hype.
