No, you weren't wrong about the war, but now the Left has disowned you, and labled you a traitorous centrist. Therefore, the Left is still wrong.
Ya, it's a b**** being in the middle about some things... The Left hates ya The Right hates ya aint life a b****?
The ironic thing is that when the long term results come in and aren't pleasant, the anti-war crowd will be called un-American again for pointing out the negative results. We'll be told we wanted these bad things to happen because we hate America. Oh brother...
Okay...concerned question...jh...Just what percentage of the people in the world do you believe are really out to get you? disowned? traitorious? I don't consider myself a liberal ( have been scored down the middle on both of the on-line tests posted in here, for example ) but, man, that's a load of weird stuff you've got going on there. For your sake I hope you were joking...If you really think other people look at the world that way, or if you look at the world that way, no wonder you seem so uptight. Are you a Cubs fan?
In other words, treeman wants to find something to argue with you about. HA HA HA You are for or against, there is no middle ground,
It's a good laugh, but is this really neccessary? I'd save the score keeping while Dubya and a Republican controlled Congress are still around.
Nothing that's posted here is necessary. Let me get this straight. You're saying we shouldn't keep score until Bush is out of office? So we should wait til after the election to reflect on what's gone down over the last few years? That makes sense. I think we need more of these old threads, not less. There's nothing more relevant to today's debate than what people were saying a year ago. Plus, they're hilarious.
Actually, it looks more and more like the "obvious facts" by the right are turning out to be nothing more than drivel. Um, where are they? That's right, the only "intelligence" we listened to was from people with a vested interest in removing Saddam. Which has now been debunked. And now that we are virtually positive that Saddam did NOT have ties to AQ, the arguments from the right regarding the invasion of Iraq fall apart. And now that these claims have been shown to be false, it is pretty clear that we did NOT have the right to invade Iraq, most especially since we were not truly "defending ourselves." When the righties around here face facts, a real debate can ensue regarding the continuing role of the US and the UN in Iraq's rebuilding.
My oh my. I was actually prophetic in a post in the D&D. I thought that was impossible. I was ready to welcome Treeman back until I read the most recent posts. Thought maybe they had actually found some WMD or something.
Isn't that the truth.... I'm saying the only score to keep is who gets elected, and should Bush win it wouldn't be as funny. And as relevant as these issues may be, focusing on Treeman's topics doesn't dispell the frame by the Republicans that liberals are getting angry and bitter of Republican interests to the point of being petty.
I particularly liked the post that stated "facts" to justify the invasion. The sad thing is that there are still many Americans who believe in those "facts".
