Duncan mopped the floor with cato. you're right. there names can be used in the same sentence. ------------------
Earl, Kelvin just called and he needs you to finish his workout, he broke a sweat and went on the IR.
That was just so funny to read. What a joke. Good site though, had some real indepth information on past draft picks. ------------------
Dallas-traded to Portland (from MIN) C-PF Kelvin Cato (Iowa State) 6-11/255 He is basically the only player left...after slipping about 5 spots. He only averaged around 11 points and 8 rebounds as a senior, but was named MVP of the Nike Desert Classic which helped him get noticed by NBA scouts. They were all seen taking pulls off of Rudy T's jack and coke, so what do they know anyway? They were all so drunk, they started joking around and writing false scouting reports for him. Some were even using his name in the same sentence as Duncan. It was considered funny at the time. Cato's upside is his defense. The downside is his questionable rebounding and raw offensive skills. Not to mention his defense. Cato was traded to Portland on draft day for Anstey plus money...MONEY...is this how H. Ross Perot is going to run his B-Ball Team? Portland signed him to a 3 year deal on 9/23/97. He was traded to Houston in the deal that brought Pippen to Portland. Houston then signed him to a contract extension. Again, that same tall glass of jack & coke was seen passed around the negotiating table at the time ... ------------------ Founding Father of the Refs Suck Club
