This is a harsh reality for some people - They have this expectation that police are / can protect them from harm and that's just not the case. In general , police RESPOND to crime , they don't prevent it. You as an individual are responsible for your own safety and wellbeing - The police / law enforcement simply clean up the mess after the fact.

No better example of why we have the 2nd amendment than the current events.

This guy will probably win his case .... but it doesn't change the facts. You are responsible for you.

 

Bunch of circular logic people have during this time. You don't enter chaz that cordons off the police then turn around complaining that the police don't help you.

Accept second class citizenship, police beating and killing you, and allowing randos from outside the city to come in and kill you because they are white and male
or
No police protection at all for your tax dollars that they chew up giving out useless tickets to harrass you . . .

Not Seattle's fault, take responsibility for your actions.

 

It is Seattle's fault as it was their elected officials who didn't do their jobs and protect their citizens and property.

They elected those idiots who for political purposes have allowed this to go down , refusing the national guard or state militia or in some cases forcing local law enforcement to stand down.

They are doing their best to paint this as Trump's fault .... and allowing citizens to be harmed and their businesses destroyed to reach that end. Can't bring in the national guard cause Trump will take credit for stopping what they couldn't / wouldn't.

Trump should just issue a national state of emergency and deal with those looters , rioters & killers. Put this **** behind us.

No he can't because "celebrities" with no talent like Chrissy Teigen have mobilized the masses against any form of action against AA's. They thrive on confusion and hate - the entire lib media. You pretty much have to sit in a corner, bend over , and take it. That's why Seattle was in a no win situation --- it's absolutely not their fault when being an adult makes you the bad guy to the thousands in the streets looking for blood (and merchandise).

 

What the media or some celebrity says does not discharge the authorities from doing their duty and enforcing law which they are sworn to uphold.

What these cities leaders have done is just plain dereliction of duty. They are without a doubt culpable for the damage done.
