For such a low proportion of the population, black people do more than their share of killing. Possibly because they feel angry due to the perceived oppression and racism.
What is the "share of killing" that you would expect, given the the demographic data at hand -- population totals, where they live, wealth, education, etc.?
The obvious point is that while the guy in the video is articulate and likeable and well intentioned, his statement "black people are dying at the hands of white people" tells only one side of the story - not a good way to appeal to those who know the other half of the story.
I get what you're saying. As I said earlier, I don't think it's black people dying at the hands of white people, specifically, that is the problem, its black people dying off in disproportionate numbers, period. And there is a collective social and moral responsibility to get at the root of that problem and address it.
Agree. Employment is a huge part of the problem and hopefully we can get back to pre Covid levels and exceed it.
