This is true. I really see wrongs on both sides. I hate Blake walked away from the police officers while at gunpoint and towards his vehicle to get in it.
Everyone should protect and serve, that's the problem with the mindset of everyone today. Cops should refuse to respond, risk getting fired from inaction, until they can't find people who are willing to become cops. Essentially they should go on strike without actually doing it. I'm not the one asking for it, everyone else is by causing this nonsense. This is literally the solution to the problem. The left does not want to see cops killing black people. The right does not want to see the the left criticize the cops, nor do they want to see the riots, even the protests. When you bring up the locality of the situation, I think the context there is already racist. I never made such a remark, the hell is the matter with you just making assumptions? I think that answers all the questions you might have.
And guess what? I can show you videos of guys with weapons that nothing happen to. Knives, pipes, guns etc.... But I guess because they wasn't black, they got a pass??... So save that b.s.
Kenny has every right to walk out and stand up for what he believes. That is his right! It's time to come up with a solution instead of just complaining and walk outs. There is no way they will abolish the police but there has to be a solution to appease the nation and this change needs to come now. There is an issue larger than the coronavirus and who anyone will vote for next election or if there is another NBA game. It doesn't matter if you vote red or blue. Americans whether they are white yellow black red brown cops nurses children elderly teenagers and adults are being killed by each other in uniform or not. This has to be fixed now and it needs to stop. It's time for a change. These issues won't just disappear if Biden is elected or if Trump is reelected. Stand up for what you believe in Kenny! I definitely stand by your decision.
I see. Most of these major cities are democrat run have been for decades, so shaq is saying vote for republicans? As far as new president its either Trump or Biden and Biden says stuff like “I tell you if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black." “Poor kids” just as bright as “white kids” "the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean” "You can't go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent" "And by the way, what you all know but most people don't know, unlike the African American community with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly different attitudes about different things." Not to mention his quote saying that he didn't want his children growing up in a racial jungle if integration isn't done properly, but that is in 1977 and there are only quotes and news paper articles on that so I don't count that due to the lack of audio/video. Not to mention he was one of the main dudes on the Crime bill that disproportionately targeted the black community. So not sure if Shaq meant future presidential elections but I have a feeling he meant this one. If he meant this one he will be highly disappointed because I don't think things will change much.
The only BS is people defending a guy who got what he deserved. Black people arent the only ones who get killed by the police by the way.
What a vague, low IQ statement. You fail to realize PER CAPITA african americans are killed by police three times as whites. Three times. Regardless of one's past, police are not the judge, jury, and executioner that decides when someone 'deserves' it. Anyways, back to basketball, brodie is about to **** on the three guard rotation
When the cops tell you not to do something and you do it anyway you're putting yourself in harm's way. What's so hard about following directions so everyone on that scene can be safe. The cop wasn't taking any chances that this POS was pulling a gun out of that car and I don't blame the cop at all in this situation.
Yes, blacks suicide themselves to police three times as much as whites per capita, brilliant. You do realize that context is important, right? Blake was breaking up a domestic violence dispute, it is still not released who called the police (potentially himself or his mother at the scene), was detained. I agree he should not have defied a police order, and should have been arrested for it, however he started WALKING away for at least 4-6 seconds before even reaching the car, could have easily been tackled by the numerous officers if you're argument is a taser does not work I am a mental health professional. Even it was 'suicide by cop,' I call weekly emergency detentions for individuals who are suicidal in the community; there are deescalation techniques police are 'taught' through a trash 40 hour crash course "CIT" training. I have intervened numerous times that prevented escalation and potential suicide by cop when a client had a gun/knife
