"We" would if we felt the same as you... but a lot of fans support these actions, we don't have numbers on this, but I'm going to personally guess, way more support it then not (amongst actual fans who watch the games and feel strongly) and even amongst those who don't support it or are apolitical of it all - I think it's safe to assume the vast majority aren't going to boycott the NBA.

Regardless if we disagree, right on man, vote with your dollars, but just remember, the players are ultimately doing the same exact thing.

I was always a Rocket fan back in the 80's and 90's....but now it's very hard for me to watch the new players, rule changes, etc. I tried watching the Rockets when it was T-mac/Yao era because it was 90's to 00's. But now...i just lost interest due to my mentality of "Some of these new super star players, just wouldn't survive in the 80's/90's....I felt like Steve and Cat would dominate in today's basketball era.....

With that said...I feel like if China was watching, Lebron wouldn't cancel....hahahah

I think there is a lot of support both on the right and left for this. Many on the right don't even like basketball and would love to see it shut down, and the left think they are actually making a difference with this. Hopefully they just shut down basketball altogether and every one can make a stand together.

    https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...lack-pain-breaking-american-sports-status-quo

Underneath it all -- the passive-aggressive questions about what walking out will prove, how people will never, ever watch the NBA again -- is threat, questions less in search of illumination but designed to diminish the players, to question their authenticity and disavow them of any thought of self-determination. There is no citizenship beneath their tank tops, and even less humanity. You're here to entertain us. No, you're literally here to entertain us. That's your job.

"Before I am an athlete, I am a Black woman," Osaka said. "And as a Black woman, I feel as though there are much more important matters at hand that need attention, rather than watching me play tennis."

Naomi Osaka made her decision to not play after the NBA canceled its games, and within her words lie a powerful possession of ownership, both that she is dictating the terms of who gets to watch her and when, and her belief that she will not contribute to the distraction away from where the American attention should be.

I wish all these players would just stand up against Trump by shouting out to all their fans and followers to get out and vote out Trump!!

Change won't come until the madman is out.

My guess is that a lot of them vote Republican though just for the huge tax cuts for the wealthy. But, you can't cry for change and turn around and vote for Trump.

Most of the players do...a lot of the players had "vote" messages on the back of their jerseys during the bubble.

I look at it this way, people complain about how the players are rich, but in reality, they aren't as rich as the owners. Many of the owners, including our own, are extremely wealthy men who spend a lot of money and time influencing politics...many of them are GOP supporters, which is in contrast to many of the players. I'm guessing that this is where many of the players are at...why keep playing and making money for an owner that continues to work against my beliefs.

At this point, the players are probably rich enough to band together and start their own collective league. Problem is...how do you get it off the ground..there's a lot of heavy lifting that has to go into it and the current owners are going to want a huge settlement since they will receive nothing on their investment...at that point, the players probably don't have enough money.

I do know some have vote on the jerseys, but I meant outright denouncing a man like Trump.

If I was a millionaire who lived in LA I'd vote to stop working too, especially if quitting meant I got to leave self-isolation in Florida.

I thought 1968 would be the most tense year I would ever see. But 2020 is on it's own level.
Trump, BLM murders, Covid, Class 4 hurricane right up through the middle of the country. This season in basketball and baseball are just cobbled together bullshit. Let's go home, mask up, and take care of our children because they have to be scared and confused.
