No the pillar of my argument is that he has been shooting under .30 from three in the playoffs for way too many seasons and he should stop jacking them up.

The fact last year is the highest percentage he shot since 2015 at .35 means he should stop attempting so many.

Btw he's shooting at .32 this year on 13 attempts. Which way do you think he's going to trend

I genuinely thought the 4 months of rest would alleviate his bad three point percentages in the playoffs because I thought it was a result of tired legs from a long 82 game season.

I guess I was wrong. It's something mental with Harden.

You really think all those threes we missed during the drought weren't open? You think OKC adjusted their defense in the 3rd quarter, it took them that long to figure out that we were going to shoot a bunch of 3s? It seems like you're just making **** up. The 3 point droughts are obviously a problem but it has nothing to do with the way they were defended. I think 3/23 was the number, and other than two Harden 30 foot stepbacks, they were great shots, the same shots they had been making all game. This wasn't OKC adjusting their defensive gameplan forcing the rockets into taking bad shots.

The game was close enough were Harden's two consecutive dumbass 3ft behind the 3pt line chucks made the game out of reach. He's the superstar. He's the tone setter. He also did his "Mcgrady in Toronto" impression last night hovering near the half court line on late key possessions in the 4th where you expect your superstar guard to go 100% in terms of aggressiveness.

Okay fine but you just completely changed the argument. The post I quoted was you acting like OKC adjusted their defense and all of a sudden the rockets were putting up bad contested 3s because of how predictable they were. That's just not true.

the clear problem is, harden needs to shoot more 3's during practice. maybe even farther away from the line. that way he'll make them during games.

    No...

    29% in 2014
38% in 2015 ( coincidentally when he had the most variety in his game)
    31% in 2016
    28% in 2017
    30% in 2018
    35% in 2019
    33% so far this playoffs.

Why would you even make that statement? It takes two seconds to disprove this claim.

Answer is more post ups and drives. He also attacked the basket and had atleast 5 or 6 open layups but kicked ot out to the bricklayers instead of finishing it. That drove me mad

take the damn 2 which is right there

I feel like all Harden does in practice is iso dribble moves and step back threes.

Yeah we know, you like to make up and assume a lot of things about him.

Doesn't matter because playing the percentages doesn't work in the playoffs. You need someone to get a bucked to stop a run. CP3 was that guy for 2 years. Russ can be that guy if he is healthy.

He moved the ball plenty and got every a billion open looks which they in turn missed.. I didn’t see you here when the Rockets were up 2-0?

i'm most concerned about the 7 straight step-back threes he missed in the 3rd quarter that killed our momentum. I was here when we were up 2-0.

No you said he didn’t move the ball which he clearly did and infact I thought he moved it to much when he clearly had a few wide open layups but chose foolishly to trust his teammates by kicking it out to the three point bricklayers in the last quarter

Can we generate other easy looksbesides threes? Threes, even open threes are volatile. Backdoor cults are less volatile. Our offense is predictable as **** and it doesn't help when Harden start lollygagging in the 4th walking around everywhere with no intensity.

i was looking at the wrong set of stats, still doesn't matter, it is the game plan and he needs to still shoot them, he takes the hardest threes in the NBA
