It sounds good, but I’m very dubious, @Dubious. I’ve never seen a successful 3rd party. The most I’ve seen them do is play the role of spoiler. Hey, if they want to split the GOP, I’m all for it, but what they really need to do is help elect Biden so we can put trump behind bars. That’ll solve a lot of the problems the GOP has. Far from all of them, though. That party is well and truly ****ed up.

Secondly it seems like the decision had more to do with having a downsized convention and therefore not changing much Platforms have some current issue language like after 9-11 but mostly Republicans are small government pro business. They don't have to do mch updating to the platform
When was the last time the Republican Party took steps to decrease the size of the government? Out of curiosity. I was a 2 when Bush Sr. took office so I only have first hand knowledge on W/Trump. And during W’s time they did that whole Patriot Act thing.
