He was an all-star this season just because he knows its a contract year. Hey, Kelvin Cato was an all-star that first preseason when we got him. As soon as he got his fat contract though, he just seemed to stop trying. Mason, a troublemaker himself, has an attitude just like Cato. As soon as Mason gets his contract he'll just be another role-player.

When I say past his prime, I mean his value to a team. His stats may have been good, but what value was he to the team? I know his stats were better in '97 too, but I still think his prime was with the '94 Knicks, because that was when he was most valuable to his team. I didn't mean most statistics.

That might be, but he is a Top 50 Players in the NBA compared to our fave whipping boy, Kelvin Cato.

Well..I happen to think that he is a great player and that he can really help the Rockets in the categories that we lack in.

Because he's old, can't shoot and is too small to guard Western PF's, but will be stifled by the tall PFs in the West because he has such a flat jumper.

I wouldnt mind having him just to smash someone in the mouth after they seriously hacked Steve or Cuttino. To hell if he can out duel Malone or Wallace in basketball.

If Anthony Mason is the answer, it must be a pretty peculiar question.

The guy has some skills, but Rudy would never bring such a man into this team's locker room. Mase thinks the answer to every problem is the ball in his hands more. His stats were up because Zo was out, but he is just too much trouble, any way you slice it.

I hope you are refering to the Malone, Stockton part of that and not the Laetner part. He isn't top 50 anything, well except busts maybe.
