The rockets are playing decent defense. the thunder are just getting bailed out every single time the rockets think about playing physical.

 

Honestly feels like we scored like 5 points that quarter.

Most are good looks. That's why I feel pretty good going into the second half. If they even had made 35% of those 15 attempts, we'd be up 9 points at the half. The defense looks good. Eventually they'll get some strips for some easy buckets and ride that momentum on offense. Harden needs to drive more and not bail OKC out with the ISO 3 pointers when they're not falling. But that's his style and when they're going in, I'm sure it makes driving in the paint easier knowing they have to respect the step back 3. Harden will get have his moments though at some point this game.

 

I donno if you've been watching other playoff games but Dallas has a lot of dudes standing around waiting to get the ball too. They just have better shooters.

 

Its variance and also talent. We have very mediocre 3point shooters aside from Bmac. However we're shooting 28% from 3. Thats waaaay below our team average. In that sense, its variance.

 

They are shooting 50% from the floor and 85% from the line....... the Thunder have shot fine.

The issue has been a lack of effort and focus by the Rockets.... for example the last 2 minutes of the half.

There's significanltly more ball movement than the Rockets in the Mavs offense. The Mavs offense relies heavily on the pick and roll and their players aren't nearly as stationary as the Rockets.

 

But not his turnovers.

Rockets can win this series without Russ.

I want him 100% for round 2.

 

This game is about to get fun. I feel it.
