Clutchfans Game Thread: Thunder @ Rockets 8/20/2020 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 2)

Wow so much doom and gloom here. Couldnt buy a bucket and only down 6?

Rockets can easily explode for a 40+ point quarter blow the game wide open.

 

Harden getting worked by Schroeder on both ends is not optimal.

 

Work on catch and shoot threes a bit during the half.

Add a little more of people successful attacking the rim, Gordon, Rivers etc.

We hit a few open looks and we'll get a rhythm then we can break open the game.

On defense make sure we switch and don't give too much air space, and don't let Adams seal in down low for position.

 

We didn't expect the team keep making 50% of their 3s, but this is ridiculous. Find some other ways to score rather than chucking up 3 after 3. So frustrating!

 

I just don't understand how a team can miss wide open jumpers like the Rockets. These are wide open 3s and nothing.

Really? How does he average 11 fta a game?

 

The Thunder wanted this game more than the Rockets in the first half.

There is still another half of basketball to be played but the Rockets will have to play a lot better.

 

We're getting really good looks. Just missing them. Its just variance.

I know some of yall dont like it but 3point shooting is the primary reason why we play small ball. Its the reason why we traded our young borderline allstar Center. We can't just say no 3s when we're missing. When the 3 ball is such an integral part of your team's strategy you can't just turn it off. This is a team that wil die or live by the 3 whether you like it or not. Its ok to miss, its not ok to pass up open shots.

Harden needs to get his head out of his and start driving, River should have been in there more and of course the refs playing their games not calling it that even. Plus Green has been a zero so far tonight

 

Gordon, House, and James are killing us with all the bricks......ugh. 2-18 is hard to watch from those guys.

This is the type of game James will end up taking like 18 3's though. Thank God they aren't all playing this bad.
