I will assume they will double with westbrook back and james torching them for 37.

Honestly would have been cool being 1-1 when new of Westbrook being out but the Rockets need to be greedy here and take Game 2.

If the Rockets can win Game 2 pretty handedly, they can push back WB return at least another game.

 

I fully expect okc to come out doubling James to get the ball out his hands

 

Point Center Jeff Green laughs at such a strategy.

A lot of things went right today and a lot went wrong for OKC. Game 2 won’t nearly be as easy.

Hopefully Russ will be back and the sharp defense will continue.

 

Rockets defense will depend on who the refs are. If they let the players play the game, we will be okay. If they call fouls for every near touch and real touch, the game will be up for grabs.

 

Then Green and Gordon will make them pay.

OKC could not defend the paint to save their lives.

Until they figure out how to do that, doubling Harden is not urgent especially if Green and Gordon are bringing ball up the court.

Definitely! Go for 2-0, Houston Rockets! You can do it. Defense and hitting the boards all night long, plus moving the ball will lead to another win.

 

Austin can bring the ball up to. I want him to
have a big game 2, ditto for EG and Jeff.

The OKC team can be dangerous as we saw in spurts today.

Also I have never seen a team flop as much as them, maybe CP is rubbing off on them. Even Adams was falling everywhere

 

blowout #2 . OKC just isnt deep enough. Maybe if the lugnutz guy comes back he can make it closer. They've only got 3 players that really can kill us. cp3 , adams, and gallo. Not enough firepower.

Main thing to worry about is fouls.

We've got the deeper team we have by far the best player . If green and maclemore arent as hot next game maybe Roco and Rivers are .

When russ comes back we have 9 that MDA will actually like playing. Even with him out its still like 8 on 5 or 6 thunder.

 

We make shots we win. It's a simple formula but quite unbreakable.

Without Russ, it's going to be a difficult game. OKC will make adjustments and Harden's production usually fall off a cliff after Game 1. 1-1

Given game 1, am expecting OKC to play different on Thursday.

For Rockets defense, OKC may run higher tempo. More ball movement like they did in the regular season. Rockets switch defense may have resulted them to run more ISO than they intended. Game 1, OKC tried to go down low in the post with Adams; probably because of the last two bubble regular season games, they may do less of that.

On offense, am expecting double teams on Harden. While not new and Rockets has played against it, it's probably coming whether we like it or not.

 

I really hope we smash their ass again!
