How seriously do you think that we might drop out of the play off?

Since the first day that Rox starts to sell the play-off tickets, I become more and more nervous.

Last night was so bitter to swallow, but we’d better get over with it asap. Otherwise we might easily lose tonight’s game as well as Sunday game against the Kings. We probably will only lead 1 or 1.5 games by Monday and that will really create a huge pressure for us. And then we will be on road playing sonics, warrior, jazz….. I am really concerned. Please no collapse again like last year, which is so much heart-breaking.

all you have to do is looking at the standing to realize the Rockets are entrenched in that 7th spot. The only thing that needs to play out over the next couple of weeks is who our opponent will be. Minnesota or San Antonio?

I am optomistic that the Rox will be in the playoffs...However, the Rox could lose all of their remaining games and not get in the playoffs, but it is highly unlikely...

The advanced playoff tickets could be a bad omen, but I doubt it...

The Rockets were in the game against the best team in the league on the road.

Despite the loss, IMO, they're playing great. Look for Yao to torch the Nuggets for a win.

All I have to say is look at the schedule of the ours and the others below us:

    Houston (8 games)
    HOME: (3 gm.) 4/4 SAC. 4/9 DEN. 4/14 DAL. ROAD: (5 gm.) 4/2 DEN. 4/6 GSW. 4/7 LAC. 4/10 UTA. 4/12 SEA.

    Utah (8 games)
    HOME: (5 gm.) 4/2 SAS. 4/5 MEM. 4/10 HOU. 4/14 PHO.
    ROAD: (3 gm.) 4/4 LAC. 4/8 DAL. 4/12 MIN.

    Portland (8 games)
    HOME: (5 gm.) 4/3 NOH. 4/7 GSW. 4/12 SAS. 4/14 LAL.
    ROAD: (3 gm.) 4/6 LAL. 4/9 SAS. 4/10 DEN.

    Denver (6 games)
    HOME: (3 gm.) 4/2 HOU. 4/10 POR. 4/12 SAC.
    ROAD: (3 gm.) 4/7 PHO. 4/9 HOU. 4/14 SAS.

I admit, we have some tough foes to end the season, but
Utah has the Spurs, Grizzlies, Mavs, and Wolves to play
Portland has Spurs and Lakers TWICE
Denver has Kings, Spurs, and us to play twice

I would say the only hurdle for us is the Sonics, Kings, and Mavs, but the Mavs/Kings are home games.

So, it look safe to say that we are in.

All we need is two wins and two Portland losses. It should not be that difficult.

When you put it that way, it feels a whole lot better.

The nervous energy is around the fact that we've lost a lot lately and none of the games we're playing are locks. We've already lost to Golden State, the Clippers gave us fits last time we played, Denver has beaten us, and Seattle has our number.

It will take a colassal choke job on the Rocket part and some serious playing out of their asses on the part of the Jazz, Portland and/or Denver.

I hate to sound overconfident since it isn't a lock yet, but I think we'll make it in as the 7.

1 in 20 (small possibility, but not so small as to be completely ruled out) that they miss the playoffs.

So should I get the tickets? I'll be in the States at around the same time.

Even if the Rockets went 0-8 the rest of the season, Utah and Portland would have to go 4-3 to jump ahead of us and Denver would need to go 4-2. I cannot see 4 guaranteed wins in the final games for these teams. I can almost see 4 guaranteed losses for them. If Houston can at least win 1 game, these teams cannot win 5 out of the final games.

Look at the positives, at least we'll have scouting report on every playoff team next week.
