Donald, you are partially right. Nobody likes to hang out with a coldhearted narcissist and a pathological liar, and most people don’t enjoy hanging out with racists, either. However, your current popularity is primarily in the toilet because of your inept COVID-19 response in America which has resulted in more than 150,000 deaths along with sending the U.S. economy into a second Great Depression.
Your first post back in March pretty much sums up how little concern Trump had from the start. Ordinary citizens like you and I saw the red flags, far before our leaders did enough to stop the spread. I remember back in early March going through a nightmare trying to cancel travel plans to Europe. Flights were still going in and out of the US, cruise ships still sailing, and cases in Europe were rising. Remember the travel ban for foreign national to the US? I was thinking, OMG, so only foreigners will bring the virus back but Americans won't? Our response to fight the pandemic was always a day late and a dollar short. These 3 quotes from your first post pretty much say it all. February 24: “The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA… Stock Market starting to look very good to me!” March 6: “I like this stuff. I really get it. People are surprised that I understand it… Every one of these doctors said, ‘How do you know so much about this?’ Maybe I have a natural ability. Maybe I should have done that instead of running for president.” March 7: “We’ll hold tremendous rallies...I’m not concerned at all.”
Back then, I saw the importance of how this was being mishandled. I thought with his history, it would be important to see how badly and how many times he would change course as it played out. I also thought it was important because I was sick of him by then, and in an election year, I thought it was important for undecided voters to see.
