    The article is too long to post here, but definitely worth reading for comedic value alone.

    This song brings a tear to the eye of anyone who grew up in the late 80s and early 90s. I can't describe the excitement of hearing this song on a Sunday morning for a kid who didn't have cable.

    This song, of course, took on entirely new meaning for a young Rockets fan in 1994 and 1995:

    Too bad Costas got Canceled by Godell.

    Maybe I was a stupid kid then but his long winded monologues were special for some reason.

    I never liked Costas as a play-by-play guy, but he was great at the opening monologues. They just don’t do the dramatic intros like they used to.
