I don't want Mo Taylor guarding Shaq because he's just going to get into foul trouble. We need Mo more on the offensive end. And, Mo will have his hands full guarding Karl Malone anyway.

Mo is a cancer. He is lazy, does not play defense, and does not pass the ball. His shot selection is the worst on this team. That is saying plenty!

I don't know about cancer, but he is not the type of player that will help bring a ring to Houston. what we need is more well-rounded players...guys that can pass, rebound, defend, as well as spot up. There is a reason you will never see MoT on Sacramento.

As an aside...the notion may be sacreligous, but I think the perfect PF for Houston next season (at least for 20 mins/game) would be none other than Karl Malone. Seeing the way he plays w/ the Lakers...his passing, shooting, ability to run the floor, hold the team accountable...he'd be a great acquisition.

Mo most likely good as gone in the offseason if anyone will take his contract. He is not a jvg type of player; he cant play D worth crap.

I guess when he said that he was worried about how many fouls he would receive when he guard Shaq. :D Anyway, when playing defense, guys always want loose officiating.

I've got no problem with Mo Taylor's offensive game. His rebounding and D leave a little to be desired, most times. He is a player who can always get a shot, and he has complete offensive game.

I don't have a problem with Mo's comments and he's had a pretty good season for us. As for him not passing, you remember MoT's comments and JVG's after out last win?

Even if you hate MoT and his contract this bs is pretty lame. And as for his comments in general he usually hits the nail on the head. His point about the officiating regarding big men in the paint is completely true: they all receive punishment without getting calls.

Some of Yao's problems in this area he needs to correct and learn how to "get calls". Dream learned how to - and he was a screamer his first few years in the NBA.

I think the refs are missing hundreds of calls because, as JVG says we're trying to run the offense through him. But for instance in that last Mav's game I thought he wasn't getting calls because he was using poor techniqe keeping Najera on his back.

NBA refs just aren't going to reward that when they see Yao losing his balance 5 or 6 consecutive trips up the court.

It's not an excuse it's a reality. Centers get fouled all the time and it's not called. As he figures things out he'll be fine.

JVG's just prepping his case because he's goingt to tell Yao he has to turn it up a notch now and he doesn't want him to be afraid of the refs or anybody. I think it's was the wise thing to do also. MoT doesn't even figure into this argument anyway.

I love taking things out of context as well.

"Make it hard for him"... "hope it doesn't become my 'job' "... "don't want him to bang me that easy... " <- It's just calling for A-train... but I only saw the "one break coming up" from him... :D

    what i heard:

we have two legit centers that are assigned to guard him. so no, it isn't my job.

no i don't want to cover him, because no true power forward in the nba wants to guard him.

if i have to, i'll do my job and try my damndest to do it well.

...there's a lot of motay haters out there.

----pgab, RocketRiver, etc., is this how you feel when someone attacks francis? as if they're constantly looking for a reason - any reason - to run down? just curious....

A lot of rocket haters in general

You almost feel compeled to over compensate on the player behave
90% of the people here hate our players
but claim to love the team. . .
they spend half their time bashing players
and the other half trying to trade them for CRAP

I did not see much wrong with what Mo said
    honesty is rarely rewarded

I think I'm ready the YOF term
and Replace it with SHF, YHF or MHF
    Steve hatin fan
    Mo hatin Fan
    Yao hatin fan

Cause some only like one player. . others only bash one players
but some seem to bash everyone . ..
It is funny to me. . .
Folx UPSET because we are not the #1 seed
when they did not expect us to even make the playoffs

    Rocket River
the short answer is. . . . . it is frustrating

    hmm.

i see your point. it's as if you're forced to fight "extremism" with what will surely be perceived as "extremism".

i'm trying to b**** less about individual games within the season, because the reality is that s*** happens. matchups and behind-the-scenes incidents can affect a player's performance. and when you're at the point that you're criticizing the second best interviewee on the team for comments that were, IMO, plainly taken out of context you're really kind of reaching.

now, come the offseason, when we can reflect on the season as a whole, i'll start b****ing! particularly about the makeup of this team - which i feel is poorly put together. but, for now, we might as well accept what we have (since we can't change it...short of adding some more out-of-the-nba-ex-knicks), and talk about what we could focus on currently to improve our chances of winning.

speaking of which, i'll be in your rebounding thread in a second ...

I must answer your question with another question.

Who wants to guard Shaq in the first place?
