not sure if this belongs here, but if we can discuss Tracy Murray, we can chat about CP (not 3):

in the days of yore, in the time of Phi Slamma Jamma, folks used to discuss how Akeem's (no H) footwork as a soccer goalie prepped him for basketball. troo dat.

but he also had a sense of space, floor spacing, that created room for his teammates, and himself. the game, and the rockets have finally adapted.

and Pulisic has the same feel for space. i'm not sure you can teach this. we needed a Nigerian Swahili (pace Alvin Franklin) to teach the game about space and footwork.

and the Prem needs a young American to do the same.

not sure what is this "soccer" you are talking about.
Is that a sport? That you use your FOOT? and have a BALL?

Is this that sport where you can't touch each other unless its with your head or butt?

There will come a time eventually where a player from the US will be a top 5 player in the world. And that will change everything. Talk to you again in about the year 2050.

Been a Chelsea fan my entire life and fully support this thread haha.

Puli is going to become quite the player and is continuing to improve off of his success at Dortmund.

I watched my son school some 12-13 year olds in a 5v5 this evening (he turned 10 in May) and that was after we ran the 110 steps at Mt Bonnell 7 times. I hope he keeps enjoying it he has a bit of potential. Which in turn has the potential to take $1000’s from the next few years in select fees.

as a longtime liverpool fan, watching how pulisic dissected our back line was jaw dropping. i catch enough chelsea matches to know how good this kid is but to see him single-handedly turn a match around that was for all intents and purposes out of reach was something else. he has golden boot/footballer of the year potential.

chelseas attack will be frightening next season but they need to do something about that defense and goalkeeping if they're going to be serious contenders.

The way Chelski had been shuffling defensive midfielders is borderline criminal.

I think I am impressed with what I saw from Reece James at the full back.

ya i don't get what they're doing but it certainly seems like they're going all in on an explosive attack.

Got to get in on this thread with my username!!! To give Frank the benefit of doubt, our midfield has been plagued by injuries the whole season. Our back four plus keeper though...

Agreed that Hershey Jesus, (did you know that he is from Hershey, PA ;)) is the real deal. Haven't had someone so incisive on the wings since Robben and Duff!

He had the proverbial “carrying a knock”. I think they are managing him. Don’t want to exacerbate any lingering issues, ala N’Golo Kante.
