Didn't really like what I saw.

Harden looked amazing as usual

Covington, Tucker looked competent.

Westbrook and Gordon nightmarish.

Team looks great in my opinion. Harden’s new Upfake is exceptional.


Westbrook’s looks like he forgot how to play basketball.

Our defensive is actually really impressive. It seems like we’re packing the paint by committee.

 

we had nick nurse and let him walk, dude won 2 g league title in our minor league system. I bet he would have delevoped ihart better than mike as well

 

For some reason, Casual fans started to think that actually driving to the hoop is 'flopping'.

My wife was wondering if the pranks are out of control in the bubble. Like did Joel Embiid sneak into Chris Clemons’ room and replace his queen mattress with a baby crib yet?

You know, that sort of thing.

 

The only person I was interested in seeing tonight was Eric Gordon. Supposedly he was injured before COVID. Now he’s had 4 months off, and supposedly lost weight, but he still looked awful.

He’s the X factor. He’s the only player I’m actually worried about. He was ass like 95% this year. Outside of that 50 point game against Utah, you could make a case he’s been one of the worst players in the league. We simply need him to play at a high level for this to even remotely work. He looked like he hasn’t even touched a basketball in 4 months.

 

i dont like EGO starting.

If EGO continues to play like this we are out round 1 no matter the matchup. He seems so bad on both ends. IDK how much is him and how much is roster turnover and just finding the right fit specifically in the 2nd unit but he has statistically been the worst player in the entire league. I mean he can't get any worse hopefully he finally gets it going. Im not going to flip out over a scrimmage. We have 10 more games until the playoffs I believe there will be improvement between now and then.

 

Russ and Beard look really good. We’re in good shape.

 

Austin would have made a difference. His defense and shotmaking add a lot of value.

 

Take a breather. The whole point of these scrims that don't count for anything, is to get people back into game shape.

Like @Mr. Space City said, they've had 4 months off. It's essentially like a basketball player coming back from injury, in the sense that there's bound to be rust.

Not everyone can immediately return to form like a Harden or Giannis. I think these players will play better as these games eventually count for something.

 

i didn't see RW getting enough space to operate in the paint. either a lack of aggression or we need a bunch of backup plays if he can't post up his defender. PnRs are slow, take too long to set up, and if they're ineffective like this, we need multiple off-ball movements that can setup a shot.

Scrimmage game. Team will get better. Those 8 games are the ones I am looking forward to.
