Since so many are participating, let's hear some of the best.

My personal favorite is ClutchCity.net becoming a Spurs site. Clearly the best.

I still love when NPR did the "coffee pipeline" and actually interviewed Howard Schultz, the CEO of Starbuck's, about it and he TOTALLY played along.

My favorite non-April 1 version was when KLOL went on for weeks about how "On June 1, KLOL will become a thing of the past..."

Turns out that they were celebrating something like their 30th anniversary and on June 1, they played only songs from that year in the 1960's and brought back all the old dj's to do the shows.

My wife, who volunteers at the elementary school my daughter attends, was at the school this morning during the morning announcements. The principle told the students that a hive of killer bees had been discovered near the playground, and that it would take three weeks to get it removed. The kids would have no recess for the next 3 weeks. The stunned look on all those kids faces was priceless!

I remember this kid I went to school with.

He would go around and randomly pop someone in the mouth. When they came to, he would say "April Fool's!"

Come to think of it, it didn't necessarily have to be April first.

    Good times......

I remember back in high school, my government teacher walked in, said "ok put your books away, let's get this test started." Everyone was laughing and saying "april fool's!" Then she really handed out a test. The first page looked like the real material we had been covering in class, but the second page had on it APRIL FOOLS in big bold letters. But there were still more pages, so we were all like, WTF?

It was just a senseless trivia test, but DAMN she had us scared ****less for a second.

My freshman year of college, my girlfriend's roommate was an outstanding actress. Anyway, I walk in from class and my girlfriend walks up and asks me to go ask Abigail (her roommate) how many push-ups her Dad can do. A little confused, I go and ask her. She immediately bursts into tears, starts punching me and telling me how her dad lost both of his arms in Vietnam. She runs off to her room and slams the door. I'm freaking out, yelling that I had no idea, I was so sorry, so on and so forth. I felt like the biggest *******. She wouldn't answer the door, so I went down to the lobby feeling like a butt. Of course, it all became clear when I got down there and saw everyone laughing their asses off. Turns out a lot of us were tricked.

It was funny, but we wanted revenge. Ever since the beginning of the year, Abigail would b**** and b**** about her mattress. So, she had gone out that night and returned around midnight. We told her enthusiastically informed her that Residence Life had come by and gave us new mattresses and that her's was in the RA's office. All she needed to do to get it was to take all her crap off her bed (and she had an unusual amount of crap on her bed), haul it down a couple of floors, and she'd get her new one. She wasn't too happy finding out that there were no new mattresses after dragging her's all the way down!

This is a email I receive from the university. Pretty good.

Years ago, a buddy and I decided at a party on April 1 to pretend that we were fighting over his girlfriend. She had no idea, but I was talking to her and kind of flirting while her boyfriend (my buddy) was glaring at me. I waited until she made a comment to me that he seemed upset.

After a while, she was worried that he was really mad and I told her that it wasn't a big deal.

While I was talking to her, he was drinking beer with some other guys and they could tell that he was getting mad. They were getting ready for some serious business to go down.

Then I gave her a hug and he totally freaked out on me. He ran at me and we wrestled on the ground and pretended that we were trying to punch each other. Then we were separated, but we took it outside. We walked around each other like we were about to fight and then we ran together and gave a big hug and yelled April Fools to everyone else.

Most people didn't think that it was funny, but that will always be my most priceless April Fools prank.

I primed my girlfriend for an April Fool's joke today.

I do this side job for an um...waste management and recycling company that pays me in only in cash. Keep the Soprano jokes to yourself.

I just keep a chronological spreadsheet of what i've done, and deduct what I get paid when I get paid. That way there's a clean history and nobody gets confused about what I owe.

Well, they moved recently and I've done a ton of work. They owe me about 2500 dollars. So I made sure to send them the updated spreadsheet.

My girlfriend has been bugging me about it since rent is due and her art (she's a painter) hasn't been selling too hot for the past few months.

I called her from their office today and told her that they couldn't pay me the full amount but would be willing to part with several thousand pounds of scrap nickel.

I feigned excitement since I said nickel was down and if we held onto it and waited until the price went up a few cents we'd make a decent profit (I actually have no idea what nickel is worth, but neither does she).

We live in a loft conversion in an old warehouse in downtown LA. I don't like the place too much, but she needed the workspace. She asked where we would put all the scrap nickel, and I told her it would probably fit fine downstairs as long as we moved her art studio and the TV and stereo into the kitchen.

We'll see if she figures out it's an April Fool's joke when I get home. Right now she isn't talking to me. :D

One of my favorites is nancies.org, a DMB fansite, from last year (or maybe two years ago). Waldo had redone the whole site as a John Mayer fansite, saying that DMB was out and John Mayer was so much better.

The ClutchFans ones are always great, and this year's Maddox site is fantastic!

Did you see the one this year, which I think was done by DMB, actually. They said that Boyd was touring solo this summer.

I saw that -- it was a well-orchestrated thing -- all the major sites were in on it, I guess. I hope that what they posted about bringing in Bela Fleck for some of the new album is true though.
