    "President Donald Trump expressed approval of a concentration camp for Uighur Muslims in China during a private meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, according to former national security adviser John Bolton's upcoming memoir, "The Room Where It Happened."

    In a private meeting during the 2019 G20 meeting in Japan, Trump and Xi were accompanied only by their interpreters, according to Bolton's book, parts of which were published in The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday.

    Xi "explained to Trump why he was basically building concentration camps in Xinjiang," Bolton wrote, citing the interpreter's account. The interpreter added that "Trump said that Xi should go ahead with building the camps, which Trump thought was exactly the right thing to do," according to the book."

    Thanks for posting this. I don't know if they are being put to sleep or not but we need to get rid of the US President that supports this behavior first and then demand action against the CCP.

    It's cool to call out atrocities of other regimes when you are also calling out atrocities of your own country.

    but when you call out atrocities of China while defending the atrocities of your own country's regime, you become a hypocrite.

    Not so much derailed as showing Trump’s approval of it. The US has lost its moral authority for a reason. Kidnap and murder is okay, droning people is okay, torture is okay, fake wars are okay, bombing and starving women and children is okay. It never ends.

    It's not surprising Trump supports this stuff considering the concentration camps at the border, the Muslim ban, wanting people from the **** hole countries to stay out, and his general attraction to authoritarianism.

    We got dachuda and the General in here. Where are senator and bigggtex and trader George? They still pop up here and there, unable to completely walk away from D and D, but studiously avoiding the covid threads, the arbery threads. I feel like they should at least have a China thread to yell and scream in.
