I think we should have re-signed posey last summer. We could be fighting for the 1st spot in the midwest division if we had him i believe. J.Jackson coming off the bench, for mobley or posey. Whats everyones thought on this?

oh my god! you people need to stop! stop b*tching around on this! what's gone is gone okay! live in the present, not the past! posey is not the only sole reason why the griz are having a winning season! its because of their TEAM GAME! so stop it peeps! stop living in the past! accept the fact! its gettin very irritating now!

and no, imho, posey is a good player! i hated the fact too that he is gone! but i didn't b*tched up on it. and we did added role players that filled posey's spot very well! JJ has been the most consistent one.

Rockets would never pay the amount of money to Posey that he got from the Grizzlies. End of story!

I don't get it why people became so obsessed with Posey.
Let's compare the numbers of Posey and JJ
    Posey: 13.0p/5.0r/1.5a/1.6s per game
    JJ: 12.5p/6.1r/2.9a/1.1s per game
pretty much the same. Didn't the same people want better
outside shooter for Rox. JJ shoots 142/360(39.4%) 3-pointers while
Posey shoots 95/258(36.8%). Don't forget JJ
earns only 1/4 the money Posey gets. I'll pick JJ over
    Posey any day.

I am sure is not the number of threads that hurt but the number of times Posey has and will continue to show up this board and Rockets' management and coach. It is not a matter of getting over it, it is a matter of getting a deep understanding of how foolish and stupid moves can hold back a team. We could easily be in Memphis' position.

And what about the sampson trade. We would have had Hakeem, Jordan, and Glyde.

Adai, the comparison with Posey is not necessary; however, there is nothing JJ can do that Posey cannot do but there is endless things Posey can do that JJ cannot do.

Do you base that on stats alone because JJ is essentially Posey but much cheaper.

All Posey would have changed is the salary cap would be whacked for years to come with no movement possible.

Do you only post in topics to tell everyone what a mistake the Rox made by not resigning Posey? Seriously, everywhere I turn there is a DearRock pro-Posey post.

    GET OVER IT PEOPLE

JJ is definitely a better 3-point shooter than Posey.
This season Posey is shooting a career best 36.8%. His career average is 32.6%
JJ's career average is 36.1%, and his best seaon was 46.9%.

JJ is better than Posey in my book. He is more fundamental. Posey is erratic and only thrive in the Grizzlies loose up offense.

Ya, and if the Rockets didn't trade R. Jefferson for Eddie, we would have been to the finals 3 years in a row.
