I notice she has a brace on her knee - isn't there a thing about women who jump high and blown knees being much more prevalent than men? Weak mcl/acl(s) or something along those lines?

I bet the guys busting crazy free throw line 360 dunks (or whatever)just loved losing to a girl who can barely get it over the rim... ;)

Sorry, but this is ridiculous. I'd like to see a video, but if its anything like Lisa Leslie's "dunk" then this is pathetic. Oh my God, a 6'4 girl barely dunked a basketball. From the picture, it looks like it wasn't much of a dunk, but more of a push.

Transcend sports, break barriers, what? I could understand if this was about Michelle Wie, but this is just sad.

Awesome stuff. Congrats to the young lady. One of her dunks apparently was a Dee Brown type dunk where she covered her eyes with one arm and dunked (along the baseline). Not sure how it looked, but even it wasn't the greatest dunk, who cares - I wanna see it! :)

I don't think that picture was of the winning dunk. The article says "She won with aplomb, too, darting down the left side of the lane, covering her eyes with her left arm and flushing home a right-handed dunk." I guess that could be after she made it and moved her arm away from her face.

Lisa Leslie didn't dunk, she touched the front rim with the ball and somehow pushed it in.

I want to see this video because high school kids are pretty creative. I hope they didn't just give it to her just because she's a girl and can dunk. The contest last year (with LeBron) had a girl in there but she just went up for a regular dunk and missed. It had to be pretty impressive for her to actually win it.

I remember hearing about her on ESPNews the other day. I think they said she could dunk when she was 15.

They showed two of her dunks on ESPNews a little while ago. One of her dunks was ok, at least for a girl. She just ran from the baseline and just one-hand jammed it. It looked like she could do it pretty easily by the way she did it.

The dunk where she covered her eyes was pretty weak. She did cover them with her elbow, but only for like half a second on the way up.

Still, it was pretty amazing to see a girl jump like that.

It was OK....if the guys could actually make their dunks they would've won though.

It's on TV tomorrow on ESPN at 7....

I remember this guy. The Rockets supposedly had their eye on him on draft night but he was taken a few picks ahead of them. His career was slowed by injuries. The Rockets ended up taking Rodrick Rhodes.

Those dunks by her were terrible. A terrible impression of Dee Brown's dunk and a plain jane dunk from the wing. She can barely get the ball into the hoop from the videos I saw on ESPN motion. She definitely won on hype alone or the other contestants were really just that bad. But cool to see a woman be able to dunk though, just don't think she should have won with what was shown.

How come women always want to be like men in everything we do? Tennis, golf, football, and now basketball. So she basically won because she's a girl, right? I wonder how she feels about that. Her dunks are not very good! If they want to be equal, they should be judge on the same standards as the guys are.

That is what I am thinking, too. I mean it is great that she can dunk but if they were as lame as everyone else says they were, then it either had to be the hype that she was a woman that can dunk or those guys are like me and aren't good dunkers, i.e. can't dunk at all.

    Classic!

I haven't heard that comeback since my sister used to call me that in 1986!
