To add insult to injury, just read that they were not able to grow grass inside there... they have to use artificial turf.

There are tons of pakalolo farmers all across the world that could come teach the Rangers how to grow anything indoors. More fail. Dumbasses.

I think those panels with the "T" logo are translucent -- they're just not clear glass like in the artist depiction pic. I heard they went with an ETFE compound so that it lets light in, doesn't get hot, and is damage resistant during crazy hailstorms, while being able to be replaced easily. It's the same stuff used in China on their stadiums during the Olympics back in '08 like on the Bird's Nest stadium.

Having spent over 20 years in both cities, the days are about the same heat, and the heat index is about identical, but Lord, if there's ever a heatwave in Dallas, it's insanity. I remember during the heatwave of 2011, at night around 9-10pm, it was still 95-100 degrees. That's not an exaggeration. But generally-speaking, Houston cools down at night. There's nothing around Dallas to cool it down - all that concrete just stays warm and slowly disperses it back up later. Or at least it feels that way. After having been de-sensitized to Houston humidity, though, it's just harder to breathe when I visit down there. lol.

Thankfully, I think we've had more "normal" summers in the DFW area since. So far, it's been a rainy year around here, so it hasn't been too bad, but July and August are still on the way...

Maybe they have to keep the coconut fibers in it wet. lol. I'm not sure how it's maintained. It's supposed to be some of the latest tech.

Same roof material as the Raiders' new stadium.

I love how they turned the archways in left, to avoid even more backlash. LOL.

Allianz Arena in Germany uses them, too, I think, and at night, the lighting on that thing is pretty amazing. I remember they lit the entire exterior of the stadium up like an American flag one time. Not sure if they're going to have that kind of lighting on the Rangers' stadium, though.

Remember when they hosted the All Star game there and they had paramedics treating people in the crowd? Unbearably hot. Players decided not to participate in the home run derby because of it.

Some of those were pretty freaking hilarious, I mean spending $1.2B, cmon man...I can't wait to see a game there. I don't care if it looks like a sardine can (one of my favorites), but sadly it won't be until 2021 or 2022...

It's a map of all the cities in Texas that do not have a World Series Trophy.

Is that like Houston is our rival so we're not gonna put them on the map or like pretend Houston doesn't exist or pretend not to know where Houston is because no one knows where the **** Arlington is. #ArlingtonRangers
