The BLM protests served as superspreader events. Unbelievably stupid! No chance they own up to it -- they are too busy believing they are oppressed victims despite prospering in the wealthiest country in the history of the planet.

Not to mention Germany and france had cities with crowds of 50,000 + at their blm solidarity protests, londontown too. Their leaders took it seriously. Well, it took Borris Johnson to get sick to take it seriousl.

I think we have to judge BJ on a sliding scale.

BJ has had his entire life to take his haircut seriously and yet ...

In all honesty - What country doesn't ?

All it takes is ONE case to re-ignite an outbreak in a localized area.

The problem with this virus is you don't know you have it for several days and that you are contagious during much of that period and as a result can unknowingly pass it on to countless others - its growth is exponential and unknown until symptoms occur - IF they occur.

The worst news we have gotten is that those infected previously don't show the antibodies after about 3 months and those who were asymptomatic even shorter - That's terrible news.

That means a vaccine isn't likely to be the answer , nor is herd immunity.

The answer according to a good friend of mine who's a doctor and worked on the Ebola vaccine a few years back is not in prevention , but much like the AIDS virus - treatments / managing it once contracted.

And that's scary because of how long it could take to develop the drug(s) to do so effectively - It took many years to come up with those medications for the AIDS virus .... while many people died.

The one saving grace in terms of COVID compared to AIDS is that COVID eventually goes away .... AIDS sticks around for the duration.

This is the new normal .... and it sucks ass.

Countries that handled their respective outbreaks with unified policies based on science instead of politics and conspiracy theories.

    big time sucks ass

    but

the flu vaccine wane over time, lasting about 6m

so if we have a vaccine that last that long -- we got something

and if not, hey, maybe booster shots every 3m ?

IOW, ain't giving in to a long persistence new normal .. yet

And if this is a long persisted new norm - (is 1-2 years long?) - hey freaking gov, let's get a system in place to min spread. We have the technology and we sure as hell has the $$$. But we got no leadership. Actually, we got leadership that is killing us and the economy.

Sadly no, the superspreader events were the dipshit early reopen, "it's just the flu", masks are unamerican, "you probably won't die!" movements, that morons like yourself with every post, tweet, and excretion sought to promote in april and may, and now you are seeing the benefit of it.

But you had some good laughs on clutchfans! Show your kids this thread they'll think it hilarious some day.

Actually you've been recklessly hyping COVID and predicting millions of deaths and generally seeking to instill as much fear as possible because it suits your political agenda. You've been flat out wrong since Day 1. You've embarrassed yourself. You've been "on tilt" and emotions have completely overwhelmed your ability to logically interpret data.

We are seeing an uptick in positive tests because testing has greatly expanded. We have not seen a meaningful uptick in deaths. We are far better positioned to treat patients now than before, and more importantly Democratic-governors are not sending COVID patients to nursing homes to infect others. This was the cause of almost half of COVID deaths in the USA. A COVID positive test is nothing to be concerned about for healthy, working age people. We should protect the vulnerable and keep COVID positive people away from them, but it's foolish to think that athletes with COVID are at risk of serious harm. This is a disease that negatively impacts the elderly and the weak.

You spent months arguing for people to lockdown because human interaction spreads the virus. So using your own rules, it's clear that the BLM protests would have spread the virus. Again, you rules and your logic. Own it.

    GOOD DAY
