    I saw my boys win the 'chip in 17 and that's all I needed. The rest can go get effed. Screw Manfred, the baseball writers, and the MLB at large.

    This. I have my 17 memories, 90's and 80's flashbacks, and about 5 of the replica rings lying around at home. Don't need MLB or baseball for awhile until they get their agendas fixed

    Missing out on the 2020 season is really a calamity for the Astros. Right in the middle of our championship window...I wonder if Crane will try to push the championship window further out with everything that’s happened...ego, scapegoated, and whatnot. Astros fans will come out with a vengeance to support this team...hopefully we have the $$$ to nail down Springer and/or Correa long term...if I’m Crane, I’m *pissed* at how my team has been portrayed and may even throw that calm, cool, calculated and rational decision making by the wayside to try to extend the win-now window opportunities for the organization.

    Yeah- if you wanna cancel this season just go ahead an ax next year as well. Nobody cares about both greedy ass sides and everyone knows a lock out is coming after 2021, especially now. It's gonna be a decade "if" the fans even come back. Most of the diehards are getting old and croaking, Gen Z and Millennials could not care less about this sport and those of us Gen Zers who grew up loving it now have real lives and really don't care about millionaires crying over ****ing money while there's poverty and bread lines basically everywhere. **** off.

    I gave up the NFL years ago. I can barely watch the NBA. The only sport left that I love is college football, and now that's going to get ruined with money to the players. There are just so many other things to do besides sit on my ass and watch sports I really thought I'd miss it more, but I honestly don't. I'll miss Fantasy Baseball way more than I would the MLB season. C est la vie.

    Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. Maybe i'm getting old, or maybe i'm just not who i used to be, but I don't find any joy anymore with the NBA, NFL, and MLB either

    Seriously, think baseball will be fine. But if they want to ensure it then you come back strong, with bigger and better stadiums, and make it an experience. You have to sell it as fun. Give us something new and different. Revolutionize it. You don't have to re-invent the game, but re-imagine the experience. So start working on the plan right now.

    COVID may be too much for sports to overcome this year. Players in every sport will test positive, and then you will have teammates and coaches saying it’s just not worth it. If one player in any sport dies of COVID, then all sports will be shut down.
