You sound like a moralizing bible-thumper feeling very self-satisfied broadcasting congregants' sexual infidelities to the congregation and then saying there wouldn't be a problem if people would just keep it in their pants. Even where people do commit Karen-like crimes, I'd rather have the justice system deal with it than a bunch of internet busybodies tsk-tsking their perceived ideological enemies for the sin in their hearts.

Yeah, the videos themselves aren't the problem, its the fact it inevitably sends a torrent of vigilante justice at the transgressor.
Actions have consequences. If you want to express your racists views to harass people in public then be prepared to face consequences. If a person loses their jobs or lose friends because of this then there is only one person to blame themselves. I have no sympathy for racists.

Racism isn't illegal and it isn't illegal to call people out for it. Shaming racists isn't the problem. The problem is determining the threshold of "racism" where it's morally justifiable to shame someone. Yes there is a problem with shaming people who don't deserve it. Whatever that threshold line is, this lady obviously crossed it were I would have zero guilty conscience calling her a racist. Doesn't mean I want to have someone physically hurt her. Maybe you are coming from the perspective that since we as humans aren't responsible enough to find that threshold, we don't deserve publicly shaming alleged racists. I can agree with a statement that public shaming has gone too far in multiple instances where someone's social life was ruined from out of context tweets or statements. But this is the wrong example to fight that problem with.
I think after a decade+ of everyone carrying video camera in their pocket most realize that acting completely crazed in public might have negative results -- primarily having their rant go viral on social media. Another helpful clue to STFU happens when you see the camera pointed at you -- dare the cameraman to post it on social media at your own peril.
