Pretty sure any new guidelines for police forces should immediately disqualify anyone named after a lunch meat.
There's been a lot of police images on the internet and on TV clips. It seems that the Philly PD has the thiccest officers.
Watching the video for this incident, this one doesn't seem that bad to be honest. Something was happening in the scrum between protesters and cops...Bologna comes up to push protesters away before getting pissed and wielding his baton. He gets one hit on the protester (towards the back of the head) to which the protester grabs the baton while on the ground and tries to pass it to one of his buddies. Bologna then basically pins him to the ground while another officer comes and helps him. This becomes a question as to what was going on in the initial scrum and whether the cops felt that there was a threat. Bologna was not the first cop to act...quite a few were already engaging. I doubt he's charged with anything and is probably just reprimanded...which is probably the right call. But, this goes back to training and knowing when to keep your cool in an inflammatory situation. It's very possible that the protesters were trying to provoke the cops into this exact situation...and they fell for it way too easily. I get that you want to protect your fellow officers and look tough, but you got to be smart in those situations.
Another p***y-ass cop who ain't **** without the badge. That Fat-ASS b**** would get his assed kicked in any other situation.
This one seems worse, maybe not the damage, but the fact that the kid at 1:45 was trying to get out of there, and the cop gave hit him on his way out, just to get one in From behind. At least the one getting charged, was to his face, could at least claim "coming at me".
That is part of the problem. This is why breaking it apart and weeding out all of these hundreds of bad apples in just this one department is what we need.
