    Of those mentioned here, 48 Hours stands head and shoulders above the rest.

    Both of the main characters (especially Nick Nolte) start with pre-conceived notions of the other and the others race. Throughout the journey they take in the film, they begin to discover each other as people and how they share many of the same struggles. By the end respect each other as men instead of just a bunch of stereotypes.
