I am done grinding up rocky hills and honestly really don't like many hills period when I ride -- just don't have time to stay in the type of shape you need to be in to enjoy the trails. I'm thinking about the Trek Rail 5 -- seems like a good compromise between the low end and car priced high end. Thoughts/ experiences?

I’ll do it but I have to be able to pretend pedal to maintain the illusion that I’m doing the work.

I don't have horse money -- it'd be cheaper to buy a Lamborghini.

This is like a scooter purchase sort of as well -- I had an old Yamaha Zuma for a long time and miss being able to zip up to the store, run short errands, etc. without the car.

There are no electric mountains. And mountains don't bike. Not yet anyway. So an Electric Mountain that can bike. I can't even take that seriously.

It's not just buying the horse, but finding a good stable and caretaker plus organic free range hay from Whole Foods is ridiculous. Mr. Tillman can't even afford a horse.

a good MTB with conversion (500~$ -500-Watts is too much unless you weight a ton) kit might be a better option, it give you the flexibility . Stay away from Bosch motor, you can't pedals if it break. I used my eBike for occasionally for weeks ,but then switched back to a lighter regular bike so i don't need to drag 50+ pounds

Ouch, uh, broski? Is this a grownup word?

But no, horses are really, really ****ing expensive unless you just want a range/ranch horse.

I bought a Juice Bikes Cross Current a (version 1) three years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed it. While not categorized as a mountain bike, it has many of the same features, minus rear suspension. Not nearly as expensive as Trek's line.

One day, I'll probably splurge on one of the expensive ones, but I'm a fan of both Juiced Bikes and RadRover's more affordable lines.
