Nash definitely goes all out. He puts that stringbean body through tons of punishment. His mop is soaked after one quarter.

Even though Dirk is a great player, he half-asses it a LOT on both ends of the court. I was watching that Mavs/Magic game, and he was standing on the perimeter and not even moving most of the time. If he does get the ball in the post, most of the time he'll turn and shoot a jumper. He could be MVP material if he developed any type of post game

Your definiation of a total scrub and mine are way different. He is not worth the money he is being paid but he is far from a scrub.

Rudy T. will likely be available for the open position. He won his championships by getting a good offensive team to play defense. It'd hurt, though, to see Rudy in the rival city.

Which of the dozens of assistant coaches gets elevated? Is Riles coming? Who coaches this team will be interesting and how he utilizes talent.

It seems to me Cubes would want to retain uptempo system, so who comes in and with how much autonomy to determine player transactions, style, and the like?

Nash is a great PG, but I don't see him as an ideal fit with Yao. Nash's strengths are his ability to penetrate and run the break. With Yao clogging up the middle and easily winded, I don't know if going all out for Nash is a good idea.

Juan, that's a great point. Rudy does seem to be a good coach for that team. While Rudy is an offensive guy, he does teach enough defense to get by. And of course you know Cuban will surround Rudy with all sorts of good assistants. Rudy is more of a veteran's coach so I would think the players there would enjoy playing for him.

I agree that it woudl be tough seeing Rudy in a rival city. That certainly would amp up the Dallas/Houston rivalry.

Part of me is hoping that Nash signs with Phoenix this off-season. Dallas keeps trading for all the wrong people. Maybe Cuban gets a burr in his A after his attempts to land a bruiser (he couldn't get Brian Grant) fall through and so he makes desperation deals that look good on paper (Antawn Jamison coming off the bench?) but don't pan out on court.

I wonder if Nash is fed up and might go elsewhere if given the chance (if, say, Phoenix doesn't land Kobe Bryant this summer).

Of course, for all I know, Nash loves Nellie like a father and wouldn't dream of signing elsewhere for less money.

If Nash went to Phx, they would become better than us. I don't think I want Phx to improve any.

JVG will be sent to ER once a week if Walker becomes a Rockets. If the Rockets fans believe that Cat and SF's shot selection is bad, they don't know the meaning of a bad shot.

I have watched enough Celtics games and have yet to see a 3 pointer that Walker does not like.;)

BTW, Walker will keep shooting 3s if he is 0-10 from downtown and pretend that Yao is not there.

    And you love this guy?:p
