You describe me. I was lurking the BBS and had since the Spring of 1999, before the Francis trade, when it suddenly disappeared. I was stunned! Although I just lurked, it was long enough to really miss the place, had it truly vanished into the ether. Had I known that waiting would have subjected me to years of @tinman's crazy obsession with "99ers," you can bet that I would have registered straight away. ;-)

Same here. I think a lot of us were motivated to stop lurking around the time it became apparent the Rockets had a bad-but-possible shot at landing a 7'6" center from China in the 2002 draft.
