Outside of the "experts" that created that asinine list on ESPN everyone holds Dream in high regard and rightfully so.

"Even though he won his two championships when Jordan retired..."

Sounds like even Paul Pierce isn't aware Jordan was around for the '95 chip.

Well Olajuwon also made it to the finals the other season where Jordan did not play a 'full season'... 1985-1986... Jordan played 18 games due to career-threatening foot injury. So that finals appearance deserves an asterisk also :p

At least Top 6 for sure, no disrespect to Bird, Wilt, Shaq, Bill Russell and Co.

If you leave out number of championships of those others, his talent level is easily Top 6 or 5.

You could even say if Lebron wasn't so darn versatile, Hakeem could be argued to be mentally stronger and even more skillful.

Definitely in a group with Magic, Bird, defensively on an isolated island.

    Duncan is underrated though.
NBA catered to the Lakers and Celtics way too much.

Dream is also the only player to have six different games where he recorded a 5x5....meaning he had at least 5 pts, rebs, ast, stls, and blks in the same game.

That was something I learned on Rockets Cuts lol

You have put things so eloquently and brilliantly. You should post more often.

    Thanks, friend.

Always thought footwork and the art of blocking shots is underrated around the league.

Additionally thought Dreamshake was unique, and his fadeaway reminded of Jordan in a Center body.

It speaks volumes when players like LeBron seek out Hakeem to teach them post moves. He's in a class all by himself with his legendary footwork.

No player has and never will dominate a "MVP" in the way that Dream did.

who on jordan's teams were going to ever guard dream? cartwright? wennington? jack haley lol? we saw what dream did to rodman and horace in back to back series 1995 -- those liteweights would have fouled out 1st Q trying to stop this monster in any matchup w/ the bulls

meanwhile on the other end we had elie and max/clyde to at least keep jordan busy, and of course dream at the rim

MJ was scared of the "big African." We all know the record.
