After about a month, the honeymoon is over: here are my thoughts in the pixel 4.

    Things I like:
    • The scratch resistant screen.
    • The speed of the Google Assistant
    • The 90 Hertz display
    • The aesthetic
    • Dark mode
    • The smart integrations (Google Lens, Scanner Built in, Google pay on power button, how the assistant plays well with Google search, how the now playing app and YouTube Music makes music better, I like how when I get a confirmation pin number that Google allows me to copy it without actually going in there and do anything just press one button, which may seem trivial but not to me
    • is there any better keyboard than the Gboard?
    • I like the gestures, for the most part, but with a big caveat.
    • I'm not a big camera guy but this one is pretty nice.
    Things I don't like:
    • I don't like that when I want to switch to another app and I slide to hold that half the time my original app is gone, I don't know why.
    • I think the battery could be better, but it is not a huge deal breaker. Unless I am getting 12 hours of screen on time, I don't see much of a difference between 5 hours and 7 hours.
    • The fact that Google doesn't allow the pixel to have native mirroring without WiFi.
    • Gestures are good for the most part, but there are glitches. I personally noticed that when I swipe left to go out of a video that the video clips at the end and I hear some of the video as I'm going out. Not sure why. The fact that when I try to multitask sometimes my original app is lost. When I squeeze to Google Assistant sometimes it will flip to the Google I don't know what you call it The left screen that comes out.
    • I don't like how slick the phone is. This phone slides off of anything if there's even a small angle.
Overall I think this phone is one of better phones Software-design-wise. On a side note I have dropped this phone onto a printer and it did not scratch. I have the rhino shield solid suit coming today but it's been delayed for over 2 weeks and I was worried I might get a scratch on it but I didn't get one even though this phone has been dropped several times, albeit on the carpet or on a plastic printer.
Also on a side note I dropped Spotify for YouTube music because I like how integrated it is into the Pixel 4 plus it shows music videos.

This isn't a dig at you, OP, but I don't think one can accurately review a phone in this day and age after a month, and expect the honeymoon phase to be over. Phones these days last a long time before tech wear-and-tear actually shows.

The original app being gone might be because of RAM - you probably have a bunch of apps open, and it's overloading the RAM. The slickness of the phone should be solved with the phone case you're getting. Try not to drop your phone so much!

Something else that I have to put as a con is The motion sense is completely overpowered and I had to turn it off when playing music because it'll register even my head movement and do something I don't want.
So the motion sense is hit and miss I like it for the volume down when you reach for your phone but a lot of the other stuff I don't care for.
