The testing plan by trump task force is still selling that we dont need testing since they still have nothing. They say testing only comes when evidence of outbreak when the whole country is in pandemic. If there is no testing how do we know its an outbreak? Ah ha !! Still no where near anything on tests and now they are trying to talk out their ass. As it stands now my kids wont be attending in the fall. Anytime trumps team is held to task ok testing they are vague elusive and in end say the tests are only if necessary. Umm they are necessary b****! They can talk it to no one needing a test I find it hilarious when trump tries to go all " some people think we dont need to test " when he gets tested all day every day This is real time data suppression and with no testing might as well go to costco and stock up on the industrial sizes and pack it in for the most part for the next fricking year! Ugghh Wife and I were going to go to nude beach in cancun, a separate family Caribbean trip, western michigan lake trip all cancelled not happening. You too I bet!! Talk about killing the economy. No testing = kill economy
they never said the people were at a specific rally or event "MADISON, Wis. (AP) — More than 70 people who tested positive for the coronavirus since an April 24 rally at the Wisconsin state Capitol indicated they had attended a large gathering"
Rand Paul is spot on. You cannot kill a virus, because a virus is inanimate. The virus will spread in its normal course. Lockdown serves only one purpose - not overloading the hospitals. Once that risk is gone, and today it's long gone, then lockdown is actually quite destructive. It wrecks the economy and delays community immunity. The way to fight a virus is by having strong immune systems. Lockdown, by preventing the exposure to germs, actually weakens immune systems. It's very bad public policy.
Interesting. Here are new cases reported in the last 7 days. Virus just really has it in for America, Russia, and Brazil, I guess, independent of government action or inaction.
Man...no offense to any Kentuckyians, but how did we end up with the two Senators from Kentucky taking on huge roles during this pandemic. We've got Rand trying to poke holes in Science without any data or proof to back it up (after catching the virus about a month ago) and then we've got Mitch running the Senate with an iron fist. Kentucky regularly ranks in the Bottom 12 of states when it comes to Health Care, Education, Economy, and Fiscal Stability...why exactly are we listening to these two? Shouldn't what you do for your constituents matter? Hell, why in god's name is freaking Rand Paul the one questioning Fauci in the first place...Idiot from Kentucky vs. a nationally-respected Scientist who's advice has helped guide us this far. Man...when you start thinking about why things are screwed up...we've got a large group of people that basically allow the Kentucky representation lead them...Freakin...Kentucky.
Go on out, you and Paul, building your immune systems and carry on, without constant daily testing of everyone else around you. Even your hero doesn't feel safe without making sure everyone around him isn't tested daily. Meanwhile, a lot of us will stay safe, not take so many risks, and do our best to ensure we don't catch something that exposes people far more vulnerable than ourselves. If you think today the risk is long gone, than you are drinking far too much of that Kool-Aid. I can't help but wonder how more deaths it would take for you to ever grasp the severity of what is happening. Do you worry more about people dying or your pocketbook. Wait, no need to answer that, because if you believe like Trump, than I already know the answer.
True, but I don't feel any better with Abbott, Paxton, and Patrick in Texas right now. Our testing is one of the worst in the country, and they seem to like it that way. Don't worry, be happy, and get your workers back in there making us look good for Trump. A few more deaths are your duty as soldiers in this war, right?
The department did add a question after the April 7 election to determine if people had been at the polls. As of Thursday, 67 people who were tested positive for COVID-19 had also reported being at the polls. Question is, does the election count as a "large event"? When were the test results from? The article sucks thus far. I'd love to say all those idiots got Corona from being around one another, but article is trash and provides inconclusive evidence.
FIFY. As far as having strong immune systems, that ship is far out to sea. What is the obesity rate in this country? And the rate of diabetes? Lockdown by preventing exposure to GERMS is one thing. THIS IS A F***ING VIRUS. That has killed 81,000 people so far. Don't twist things.
